ECONTROL SMART, ENERGY EFFICIENT AND SUSTAINABLE Perfect light conditions and pleasant indoor climate from morning to evening. ECONTROL, the dimmable solar control glass, ensures the optimum light and energy input in windows, glass roofs, conservatories and large-scale office or industrial facades in every season of the year. This makes ECONTROL the ideal component for Smart Building Solutions. Solar energy Heat Light The dimmable glass consists of a laminated glass pane which turns blue by the application of an electrical voltage. The intensity of the colouring is individually adaptable to the changing external conditions during the course of the day and the year. When dimming, the light and energy input into the room decreases or increases to the desired level. When coloured at the highest dimming level, only ten percent of the sunlight is transmitted into the room, using double insulating glass. As triple insulating glass, ECONTROL reduces the transmission to only nine percent. Also with regard to the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient, ECONTROL allows for values of up to ten or eight percent. ECONTROL offers an uninhibited view from the interior to the exterior at all times. The intelligent glazing overcomes the need for external blinds and awnings, used as solar or thermal insulation, and makes use of the solar gains in the winter. For architects this leads to more design freedom, for users to more comfort and for the builder to less building maintenance costs. Therefore: Energy management with ECONTROL saves you money. When dimmed, only 10% of the sunlight is transmitted through the ECONTROL pane. In combination with the insulating glass construction, up to 90% of the solar heat is reflected.

THE ADVANTAGES OF GLAZING WITH ECONTROL Transparency, comfort, sustainability and creative freedom builders, architects and above all the residents benefit from the advantages of glazing with ECONTROL : outstanding solar and heat control in the summer optimal use of solar energy in the cold season of the year uninhibited view to the exterior at all times pleasant indoor climate all the year costs for installation and maintenance of external shading systems can be saved; low costs for additional air conditioning minimal operating costs: power consumption only during switching individual and automatic control, can be integrated into every building management system dimmed ECONTROL creates blue light that promotes creativity and performance of users the dimming process is variable and is therefore barely noticed Smart, energy efficient, sustainable ECONTROL is the ideal glazing for the Building 4.0. THE SMART CONTROL ECONTROL is a laminated glass with a microscopically thin coating, allowing the so-called electrochromic effect: By applying a low electrical voltage, the glass turns blue and thus reduces the light transmission the glass is being dimmed. Each ECONTROL pane is connected to a control unit ECmodul via an electrical supply line. The individual modules can be combined into groups or individually controlled. ECmaster is the tool for manual control or automatic control via light sensor. As a computer-based control system, ECconcept is ideally suited for the development and implementation of individual requirements of the user. Cable with plug to control unit Electrochromic laminated pane (9 mm) Ion-conducting polymer Cavity filled with gas (12-16 mm) Inner pane (4 mm) with low-e coating Spacer Construction of the ECONTROL solar control glass ECmodul Light sensor ECmaster Both tools feature a digital Modbus interface for integration into an existing building management system. Whether conservatory, glass roof or facade, with ECconcept every system can be controlled via tablet or smartphone simple and safe. Since all components of the system can be interconnected, buildings, facades and roofs are dimmable at the same time.
