3rd Party Shipping Expedite products to your customers in four easy steps. Dot allows you to request expedited shipping via FedEx either to your warehouse location or directly to your operator customer on all Non-Foods items. Dot helps you ship faster, bill faster and collect faster. Dot will remain transparent throughout the transaction. Your company name will show as the shipper on any shipments directly to the operator. Here s how it works: 1 Operator requests item from distributor. Benefits Provides better service to your customers if normal Dot fleet lead times and delivery won t meet your customer needs. Helps you expand your product offering and services without needing additional stock items, space and inventory. Assists you in handling your special orders more efficiently. 2 Distributor places order with Dot. Program Details Orders received before 9:30 AM Central Time will be sent out that same day. Minimum order size is $50.00. Shipment of china and glassware will be available through this program with an additional $4.00 per case repackaging charge. You will be invoiced at regular Dot price plus shipping charges. Dot s invoice will provide you the tracking number, which may also be used at the FedEx website (www.fedex.com) for their Signature on Demand services. This will provide proof of delivery to your customer s location. 3 Dot ships your order to your warehouse or directly to your customer s door. Shipping Options When using the New Order Option in the Dot Expressway, your approved users in Sales or Purchasing can select the FedEx shipping options listed below. Or, they can opt to have the order delivered to your warehouse along with your regular Dot order. Ground Shipments Fixed Rate We can set you up on a fixed shipping charge (per cwt/weight, allowing your sales people to quote shipping charges in the field. There is a minimum shipping charge on this option. Standard FedEx Charge We can quote it for you, or you can go to the FedEx website. Overnight, 2nd Day or 3rd Day Standard FedEx Charge We do not offer fixed shipping rates. 4 Ship directly to your operator. What We Need The order information outlined in this section can be provided via your normal purchase order communication with Dot (EDI, fax or email) or it can be provided using the new ordering screens available to your approved Expressway users in Purchasing of Sales. Separate Purchase Order per order. Name, Address, Contact and Phone Number of shipping location. Dot # or Mfg # with description, quantity, pack size and shipping method. You must sign an agreement for Dot to send glass or china. Dot is not responsible for damage on shipment of glass or china. Your customer needs to return the product? Option 1: You pick up the product, bring it back to your warehouse, and send it back to Dot Foods on our next delivery. Option 2: You call Dot to arrange to have FedEx issue a call tag, FedEx will call your customer to arrange a pick up time. Product needs to be in resalable condition and in original packaging.
