We can put you in touch with recommended suppliers for these pumps. Also used here are admixture or dosing pumps. Many sites use Mono or equivalent small electric gear pumps. We have found it worth considering the use of air-operated diaphragm pumps in this application - the XairePro XP15 is ideal. See pages 7 and 11 4. STORAGE SILOS - There will often be a fresh water pump feeding water to the batching plant. These applications are much less abrasive and are ideal for Varisco or Ebara pumps. See pages 8 to 10. 5. WEDGE PITS - Submersible pumps are usually required to remove waste water. The challenge however is that this water will often contain aggregate particles, metal and plastic fibres. This leads to clogging and internal damage to the pump with associated downtime and costs. The best solution for this is to use an industrial pump such as the Audex AL Series which is designed for this type of wear. See pages 4, 5 and 6. 6.
