Updated 19 Dec 2017 Actech AT-906 WPU Technical Data Sheet WATER BASED POLYURETHANE GREY WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE ROLLER GRADE DESCRIPTION * ACTECH AT-906-WPU is a Class 111 water based modified polyurethane membrane that meets the requirements of AS3740 and AS4654 by conforming to AS/NZS4858 wet area membranes. For use in internal and external applications. It is a flexible UV-resistant and high build waterproofing membrane stable and is fast drying, allowing second coat to be applied after 4-6hrs @20-25 C (in a well ventilation area). This Technical Data Sheet may be revised at any time to comply with relevant changes to the Australian Standards or to include changes to current technology. STANDARD COLOUR: Grey PACKAGING: 15 litre (22kg) Pail and 4 litre (5kg) Pail. ACTECH AT-906-WPU is suitable for the following applications: Internal bathrooms, laundries and wet areas. External balconies, podiums, walls facades, parapet walls, retaining walls, roofs. metal roofs and gutters with positive falls. It can be used over many common substrates including, rendered brickwork, block work, fibrous cement products, concrete, cement, gyprock, timber and metal surfaces with priming required on these substrates. AT-906 can be used for internal and external applications. AT-906 being polyurethane modified requires polyester fabric reinforcement. AT-906 is paintable with conventional acrylic paint. Once Cured AT-906 is foot trafficable. Page 1 of 8

ACTECH AT-906-WPU Advantages Meets the 'Green Star' environmental criteria. Highly Flexible. Very low VOC levels. AT-906 is classified as non-hazardous. AT-906 is not flammable. Meets the criteria of AS4858:2004 Appendix A: Durability of Waterproof Membrane and is applied in accordance with AS3740:2010/AS4564. UV resistant - suitable for direct exposed to sunlight. Compatible with most tile adhesives. Virtually odourless. Will not stain grout or tiles. Permanently flexible (tested to class 111 - highest tensibility) & strong. Formulated for wet area and under tile applications. Does not re-emulsify after proper curing. Tough, durable and flexible. Easy application by roller or brush. LIMITATIONS Do not apply AT-906 in temperatures above 30 C and below 10 C. AT-906 WPU is UV resistant, but for extended periods should be top coated with an application of Actech AT-102 UV stable top coat. All silicon based products are not compatible with Actech AT-906. AT-906 must not come in contact with bitumen surfaces. In applications where trace quantities of bitumen are present, prime surface with 2 coats of EP-906 Hydro Static Epoxy Primer to be used to isolate the bitumen. AT-906 is not a vapour barrier and is not designed to stop negative head of hydrostatic pressure. Where a substrate is subject to hydrostatic head of pressure from the negative side then it is to be treated with 2 coats of Actech EP-906 Hydro Static Epoxy Primer prior to the application of all AT-906 membrane system. * Not to be applied direct over a substrate having moisture content. AT-906 cannot be immersed in water for at least 7 days after final application. Ensure the surface is totally dry. Do not apply if rain threatens. Must be cured for 7 days prior to application of cement screed or other finishes. We recommend the AT-906 be laid on floors that provide positive falls to drainage outlets to eliminate water ponding. We do not recommend applications of AT-906 WPU be applied on particle board, platform floor sheeting, yellow Tongue or chipboard surfaces. HANDY TIPS Page 2 of 8

PREPARATION Ensure new concrete is allowed to cure for a minimum of 28 days in accordance with AS 3958.1-2007. Concrete areas to be waterproofed should be left with a wood float finish. All rendered surfaces should be left with a wood float finish and left to cure for a minimum of 7 days prior to waterproofing application. APPLICATION Thoroughly clean down surfaces by stiff bristle brush, scraper etc. to remove all laitance, dirt, dust, grease or other contamination to leave a sound clean dry surface free of residue. *For Concrete slab Floors After priming install Actech Rubber Pipe Flange to all floor waste using a bead of joint sealant. All pipes to floor waste to be cut down with an angle grinder to provide a level edge flush with surfaces slab. Grind concrete slab with a cup grinder to ensure once the Actech rubber pipe seal flange is installed it is flush/level to existing floor. PRIMER For External Use For good, sound dry substrates,- to the previously prepared surfaces apply one coat of Actech EP-906 Hydro Static Epoxy Primer (applied at the rate of approximately 3-4m² per litre). Allow EP-906 primer 24hrs to cure. For Internal Use (where surface is totally dry) - To the previously prepared surfaces apply one coat of Actech AT-600 Primer (applied at the rate of approximately 5-6m² per litre) Allow primer to dry for approximately 2-3 hours before commencing waterproofing. For Damp/moist Surfaces Where Actech AT-906 is to be applied on a porous or absorbent substrate, the moisture content must be checked using a moisture meter. If the reading shows positive moisture reading, then 2 coats of EP-906 Hydro Static Epoxy Primer (applied at the rate of approximately 3-4m² per litre per coat) allowing 4 hours (at 25 C and 50% R.H.) between coats and 24 hours after the last coat to cure. Use on Metal and PVC- Use an anti-corrosive Primer for metal, and Plumbers Primer for PVC surfaces. All metal and PVC surfaces should be cleaned and abraded prior to priming. After application, primers should be allowed to dry for the specified drying time before the application of AT-906. Rusty Metal Remove loose rust and paint particles with wire brushing. Sound areas of remaining paint should be roughened to obtain a good mechanical key. Loose flakes or corroded metal must be chipped away. 1st Coat: rust converter Prime: anti corrosive primer Page 3 of 8

JOINTS SEALANT All floor/wall, wall/wall, hobs/floor, hobs/wall and corner junctions, water stops and drain outlets should be sealed with a bead of expansion joint sealant such as ACT-FLEX 75FC polyurethane joint sealant. Allow ACT-FLEX 75FC to dry for a minimum 2hrs before overcoating. CRACKS Cracks greater than 2mm in width ie cracks that do not move or continue to grow, must be chased out to a minimum 3mm width and cleaned by vacuuming to remove all dust and residues. After cleaning fill all static cracks with a thick bead of Act-Flex 75FC joint sealant. Cracks greater than 3mm or subject to movement or growth must be referred to the builder or engineer for structure assessment. For cracks under 2mm in width, apply a thick coating of AT-906 extending 100 mm either side of the crack, Apply reinforcement fabric into wet coat. Ensure there are no bubbles or wrinkles. Allow to set/dry. Apply a further coat of ACTECH AT-906 to fully penetrate and cover the reinforcement fabric, lapping all edges and/or ends a minimum of 100mm. Ensure there are no air bubbles or wrinkles in the reinforcement fabric. Allow the fabric reinforced layer to dry overnight before applying the coats of membrane. Allow all pre-treatment areas to dry before general application of the membrane. REINFORCEMENT FABRIC: 1) Apply one coat of ACTECH AT-906 WPU to all floor/wall, wall/wall, hobs/floor and hobs/wall junctions. 2) Apply reinforcement fabric into wet coat. Ensure there are no bubbles or wrinkles. 3) Allow to set/dry. 4) Apply a further coat of ACTECH AT- 906 WPU to fully penetrate and cover the reinforcement fabric, lapping all edges and/or ends a minimum of 50mm. Ensure there are no air bubbles or wrinkles in the reinforcement fabric. 5) Work about 1 metre at a time, applying the membrane, fabric and membrane. 6) Allow the fabric reinforced layer to dry overnight before applying the coats of membrane. MEMBRANE FINISH FLOOR, ROOF & WALLS This is a 2 coat system and 3 coats for sunlight exposed uncovered membrane areas. To previously applied reinforcement system, Floor, Roofs and Wall applications: Apply a further two coats (three coats for roof and sunlight exposed applications) of ACTECH AT-906-WPU waterproofing membrane system to a total Dry Film thickness of not less than 1.5mm thickness or 1500 microns coverage for floor and wall applications and 2mm thickness or 2000 microns coverage for roof and sunlight exposed applications. A film gauge must be used regularly to ensure a minimum film build is achieved for each coat. This thickness is in addition to the preparatory work. Page 4 of 8

Allow 6 hours @ 20-25 C (in a well ventilated area) between coats. Allow 7 days@20-25 C full cure. A final inspection is recommended over surface to make sure no pinholes are evident prior to tiling. FLOOD TEST After full cure it is recommended that a flood test be carried out prior to covering. Flood to a minimum depth of 50 mm of water for 24 hours. Drains should be plugged and barriers placed to contain the water. PRIOR SCREEDING On large decks where the membrane is to be covered with a self-supporting concrete screed which may be exposed to thermal or shrinkage movement, two layers of plastic sheeting must be laid over the entire membrane surface to act as a slip sheet system screed is to be laid over the membrane, providing positive screeds to drainage outlets and complying with the Guide to the installation of ceramic tiles AS3958.1. Allow screed to dry for 3 to 4 days before applying 2 coats of Actech EP-906 Hydro Static Epoxy Primer (applied at the rate of approximately 3-4m² per litre per coat) allowing 4 hours (at 25 C and 50% R.H) between coats and 24 hours to cure before tiling. Where a screed is installed, the normal range of suitable tile adhesives may be used. When tiling direct to the membrane, tilers must notch trowel the tile adhesive to all wall and floor areas. Spot bonding may then be applied to reach the required levels TILING In applications where ceramic tiles are to be laid over AT-906, a cement based Notes Once all coats have been applied, allow waterproofing membrane to cure for 7days at 20-25 C prior to application of cement screed, tiling or other finishes. MIXING AT-906 is a one part premixed product. Mix well before usage. CLEAN UP Clean brushes and tools in water while still wet, avoid spillage. COVERAGE Applied minimum thickness for AT-906 is 1.5mm or 1500microns of dry film. Applied minimum thickness for AT-906 is 2mm or 2000 microns coverage for roof and sunlight exposed applications As a guide AT-906 15ltre (22kg) pail will cover approximately 8m² in 2 coats. This may vary depending on condition of surface. Note: Coverage rate is based on two coats to give DFT of 1.5mm. These are theoretical yields. No allowance has been made for wastage. Page 5 of 8

SHELF LIFE When stored in in an un-opened container in a cool (below 20 ), dry environment and stored above ground level a pail of AT-906 will have a shelf life of approximately 12 months Note: Surface skin may occur even in unopened containers. The skin should be removed before using the product RE-COAT TIME: 6 hours at 20-25 C (in a well ventilation area) between coats with low humidity at 1500 microns. C SUITABLE TEMPERATURES: 10 30ºc. SAFTEY The use of gloves, safety boots and protective eyewear (against splashes) is recommended. Use breathing respirators at all times.
