1 NC Farm School Take Home Assignment: What to do for Ag Plan Session 3 For Chapter 3 of the NC Farm School curriculum we want you to be able to develop the startup cost for your business. To do this you will want to refer back to the equipment needs section on the second page of your Chapter 2 take home. Use these equipment needs to get started listing all the equipment that you will need for your business. Below are some questions to help you start listing in more detail the equipment you will need to find prices for. Remember the key is to make sure you price equipment that is good for the scale of farm you have. If you have 1 or 2 acres of vegetables you can get by with a smaller tractor and you may use more hand tools than tractor implements. Use the list below to get you started listing the other items you will need that you may have missed in chapter 2. You can also refer to the market garden budget on the session 2 page online for more ideas. An electronic version sheet is in Session 3 student page.
