Each StarterPak requires customization to integrate your data properly. Therefore, it is important that you read and understand the entire document before attempting to use the contents of the StarterPak. Scribe StarterPaks are meant to be used as a starting point for your own projects, and should not be considered plug and play. StarterPaks are available as is, with no guarantee or commitment of support for the associated Maps and configuration files. Welcome to Scribe s NetSuite Customers To Dynamics CRM Accounts StarterPak. This StarterPak supports creating and updating Accounts in Dynamics CRM from NetSuite Customers, including default Billing Address, default Shipping Address, and Parent Account information. Sample data files are also provided. This StarterPak is part of the NetSuite and Dynamics CRM StarterPak series and can be used independently or with other StarterPaks in the series. Samples A folder containing a sample CSV file: NS_CRM_Country.csv Requirements In addition to the StarterPak, your site needs: A trial or paid subscription to Scribe Online Integration Services (IS). Access to a Dynamics CRM Organization. A Dynamics CRM user with appropriate credentials and permissions to: o o Import custom Solutions Create and update the entities into which the StarterPak integrates Access to a NetSuite Organization. A NetSuite user with appropriate credentials and permissions to query the entities the StarterPak uses. A Scribe Online Cloud or On-Premise Agent. The StarterPak uses CSV files that require an On-Premise Agent. If you plan to use a Cloud Agent, you must convert the CSV files to Lookup Tables and modify the formulas within the Maps accordingly. 7 Preparing The StarterPak Preparing The StarterPak This section describes the steps required to prepare NetSuite and Dynamics CRM, extract files from the.zip file, and configure the Scribe Online Connections. For information on Scribe Online tasks, such as configuring Connections and using Scribe Online, see the Scribe Online Help Center. Extract The Files From The Zip File Unzip only the ScribeStarterPak-NetSuite-to-DynamicsCRM-Customers_v1_0.zip file. Do not unzip the Scribe CRM Solution zip files contained in this file. 1. Download the ScribeStarterPak-NetSuite-to-DynamicsCRM-Customers_v1_0.zip file. 2. Extract the files to a location that can be accessed by Scribe Online. 3. Verify which version of Dynamics CRM you are using. You must select the appropriate managed.zip file to import based on the version of Dynamics CRM. 4. Install the Dynamics CRM Custom Solution by logging into your Dynamics CRM Organization and importing one of the following managed.zip files: For Dynamics CRM 2015 On Premise or Dynamics CRM Online browse to the..\crm2015\ directory and select ScribeSolutionforAccounts_CRM2015_1_0_0_ managed.zip For Dynamics CRM 2011 or 2013 browse to the..\crm2011-crm2013\ directory and select ScribeSolutionforAccounts_CRM2011-CRM2013_1_0_0_managed.zip. 5. Copy the NS-CRM Customers.xml file to a folder under your Scribe Online agent installation, such as..\scribe Software\Scribe Online Agent\Maps\. 6. Copy all files from the Samples folder, created when the zip file was extracted, to the..\scribe Software\Scribe Online Agent\Data Exchange folder. 8 Configuring The Scribe Online Connections Configuring The Scribe Online Connections Connections are used in multiple Maps, therefore, Scribe recommends creating Connections from the Connections page and adding them to the Maps as needed. For information, see Adding Connections. Configure The Dynamics CRM Connection Configure the Dynamics CRM Connection, as described in Scribe Online Connector For Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Verify that you have the credentials and permissions to create and update Accounts. If you are using an existing Dynamics CRM Connection, refresh the metadata as described in Resetting Metadata. Configure The NetSuite Connection Configure the NetSuite Connection as described in Scribe Online Connector For NetSuite. Verify that you have the credentials and permissions to query Customer and Customer Address. 9 Configuring The Scribe Online Solutions Configuring The Scribe Online Solutions After you create Scribe Online Connections, configure the Solution. Create A Solution 1. Configure a new Solution. See Adding Or Editing An Integration Solution. 2. In the Maps section of the Solution, select Import from the Menu. 3. Browse to the NS CRM Customers.xml file, and import that file. See Exporting And Importing Maps. The imported Maps show as Incomplete. 4. Open each Map and configure the Connections. See Defining An Integration Map. You must modify the Maps for your NetSuite Organization, your Dynamics CRM Organization, and your business requirements. For more information, see the StarterPak Maps section. 10 StarterPak Maps StarterPak Maps This section provides details about the Customer and Parent Accounts Maps included in this StarterPak. General Information The Maps you implement depend on your business requirements. For example, if you only want to integrate Customers in the Prospect stage in NetSuite to Dynamics CRM Accounts, you would only implement the NS->CRM: Customer Update/Insert (Stage Prospect) Map. If your Organization does not use Parent Customers in NetSuite, you would not need to implement either of the NS ->CRM: Update Parent Account Maps. The Maps in this StarterPak process all records created or updated since the last run/date time by default. The last run/date time is based on the NetSuite lastmodifieddate field. For more information on the specific field mappings, review the Maps in Scribe Online. Customer Accounts The StarterPak provides the following Customer Account Maps: NS->CRM: Customer Update/Insert (Stage Customer) Retrieves all active Customers with a stage of Customer from NetSuite, including all related Customer Address records. Creates Accounts in Dynamics CRM, including the address1 and address2 set of fields, if applicable. NS->CRM: Customer Update/Insert (Stage Prospect) Retrieves all active Customers with a stage of Prospect from NetSuite, including all related Customer Address records. Creates Accounts in Dynamics CRM, including the address1 and address2 set of fields, if applicable. Customer Stages NetSuite supports Customers in multiple stages. The StarterPak provides Maps for the Prospect and Customer stages. To integrate an additional stage, such as the Lead stage, duplicate one of the provided Maps and modify as needed. Customer As Individual NetSuite allows you to specify whether a Customer is a Company or an Individual. If a Customer is an Individual, the first name and last name of the person are used as the Account Name in Dynamics CRM. StarterPak: NetSuite Customers To Dynamics CRM Accounts - 7 -

11 StarterPak Maps Default Billing And Shipping Addresses The default billing and default shipping address for the Customer in NetSuite are used to populate the address1 and address2 set of fields in Dynamics CRM. Modifications to the default Billing Address or Shipping Address in NetSuite are reflected in the address1 and address2 set of fields in Dynamics CRM. Changing the default Billing Address or Shipping Address in NetSuite also changes the address1 and address2 set of fields in Dynamics CRM. State And Country Values NetSuite requires specific values for country whereas Dynamics CRM country values are free form text by default. For example, the NetSuite country value for United States is _ unitedstates, while the Dynamics CRM country value could be United States, US, U.S., etc. The StarterPak is designed with the expectation that the country values in Dynamics CRM are the two character ISO standard values such as US, CA, and AU. The NS_CRM_ Country.csv file provides a list of the NetSuite country values and the corresponding two character ISO Country standard value. This file is used to transform the country from Dynamics CRM to NetSuite. You may need to modify this file to meet your specific requirements. NetSuite also requires specific values for state. The StarterPak is designed with the expectation that the state values in Dynamics CRM are the same as the expected state values in NetSuite. Review your data in both NetSuite and Dynamics CRM. If the state values differ, you can generate a csv file similar to the NS_CRM_Country.csv file to perform the necessary transformations. Parent Accounts The StarterPak provides the following Parent Account Maps: NS->CRM: Update Parent Account (Stage Customer) Retrieves all active Customers with a stage of Customer from NetSuite. Updates the corresponding Dynamics CRM Accounts with the Parent Account, if applicable. NS->CRM: Update Parent Account (Stage Prospect) Retrieves all active Customers with a stage of Prospect from NetSuite. Updates the corresponding Dynamics CRM Accounts with the Parent Account, if applicable. Updating Parent Accounts If your Organization uses parent/child relationships for Customers, update the parent in Dynamics CRM from the parent in NetSuite with the Maps provided. Run the Parent Account Map after the Customer Map to minimize errors where the parent does not exist. StarterPak: NetSuite Customers To Dynamics CRM Accounts - 8 -

12 StarterPak Maps No Parent Defined The Maps return all NetSuite Customers created or updated since the last run date/time, and filter out any records with no parent defined. If no Customers have a parent and no action was performed, the last modified date is not updated. This StarterPak uses a Lookup NS Customer Block to look up the source Customer from NetSuite, forcing an action to be performed, and causing the last modified date to be updated.
