1 Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) Flooring Installation Guide For Assistance call IMPORTANT Save time & avoid frustration! Read these entire instructions before starting your installation! Prior to installing a single board, you and or your installer must determine that the job-site environment and the sub-surfaces meet the requirements set forth in this installation guide. RECOMMENDED USE Eco-Pro Planet Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) Flooring can be installed on all grade levels of the home that are temperature controlled. CAUTION DO NOT INSTALL in all exterior installations, patio, enclose porches, etc. OWNER/INSTALLER RESPONSIBILITY Please inspect the flooring planks carefully for any possible damage or defects before installation. Do not install damaged or defective planks. Warranty claims will not be accepted regarding visual defects after flooring has been installed. The owner/installer assumes all responsibility for product quality of competed installation. Based on the industry standards, we recommend that you add an additional 5% extra for cutting wastage and grading allowance (more for diagonal installations). SUBFLOOR General Most hard surfaces (plywood, concrete, ceramic tile) Subfloor must be clean, plat, dry. All carpeting and padding must be removed before laying LVP flooring. Concrete subfloors Concrete subflooring should be cured for at least 60 days, preferably 90 days prior to installation. Grind down high spots and fill in low spots with an appropriate Portland cement-based patch compound. It must have a minimum 10 mil polyethylene sheet between the ground and the concrete. Slabs on or below grade must be free of hydrostatic pressure. Wood subfloors Wood subfloors must be flat. Any loose or squeaky sections of plywood replace areas that are damaged are recommended to be screwed down. Wood subfloors should be moisture tested with an appropriate wood moisture meter, and the results must be no more than 13% on average. Ceramic tile, sheet vinyl, wood floor Any ceramic tile, sheet vinyl or wood floors must be flat, clean, level and in good condition. This flooring can be floated over existing clean, flat, dry, and well bonded/secured tile flooring, vinyl flooring, and hardwood flooring that have a wood subfloor underneath. Patch any grout lines with compound are recommended.

2 RADIANT HEAT Eco-Pro Planet LVP is only recommended for use over radiant heating system. Set the temperature of the radiant heating system to 68 F 48 hours before, during and 72 hours after installation. New heating systems should be running two weeks before installation to remove residual moisture from the subfloor. Surface temperature should not exceed or sustain 85 F UNDERLAYMENT Eco-Pro Planet LVP is 8mm thick and includes a pre-attached sound absorbing underlayment pad. Installation on second level flooring and higher, we recommend purchasing additional underlayment to help smooth out any minor subfloor imperfections. ACCLIMATION/STORAGE Eco-Pro Planet LVP should be installed in a constant temperature environment between 59 ~85. Un-opened product cartons must be placed at this temperature at least 48hours before installing. Consistent room temperature before and during installation. Dry ventilated room with no direct sunlight Stack boxes less than 8 cartons, and avoid strong impact EXPANSION GAP A minimum 1/2" expansion space must be placed between the flooring and all vertical obstructions. Do not place permanently mounted structures such as kitchen counters/cabinets on the installed floor. TRANSITION MOLDING For floating installation, transition T-moldings are required in larger spaces or connected areas greater than 30 feet in any one direction, doorways and archways less than 4 ft. Wide. Expansion breaks for 30-foot areas are not required when gluing the flooring planks to the subfloor. 3 INSTALLATION Installing the first row Cut off the unsupported tongue of the first row so that a clean, solid edge is toward the wall. Start installation from the corner of the wall. Tongue side must start facing the wall and it is careful to leave ½ inch expansion space. Install the planks from left side to right side.

4 Continue Installing Vinyl Plank Flooring. Install the next plank in the first row by angling the short side tongue into the short side of the first plank. Shift the plank down towards the end seam and lightly lift the previous plank to engage the end joints together. Use the same method to complete the installation of the first row. Place the short end tongue of the next floor panel at an angle against the previously installed floor panel and fold gently down. Using gentle force and at an angle, you gradually, from left to right, push the long side tongue into the locking groove of the previous row. Complete the whole row in the same way. Installing Final Row: The last row may need to be cut lengthwise (ripped). Make sure ripped piece is at least 1/3 the size of the overall width of the plank. Place the last row of boards to be fit on top of the last row of installed boards. Use a piece of plank or tile as a scribe to trace the contour of the wall. Mark where the board will be cut. If the fit of the wall is simple and straight, simply measure for the correct fit and cut. After boards are cut, position boards and tap all joints (long AND short ends) with the rubber mallet.

5 CARE and MAINTENANCE When cleaning vinyl floors, use a soft bristle broom to remove loose dirt. Damp-mop as needed with plain, clean water or nonabrasive floor cleaner to clean up mild spills and prevent to stains. We recommend using natural floor cleaners by mixing apple cider vinegar or dishwashing soap into a mix of hot or warm water. It s very crucial not to use harsh cleaning chemicals including wax polish on luxury vinyl flooring. For tough stains like crayons, ink or pain, apply rubbing alcohol to the spot and scrub away with a soft-bristle brush. Never use steel wool or other abrasive brushes that can cause scratches on your vinyl floor. Make sure furniture legs have large surface, non-staining floor protectors to prevent scratching and scuffing. Heavy furniture or appliances that are not moved often should be equipped with flat, non-staining composition furniture casters or cups of appropriate size. Be sure to replace small, narrow metal or dome-shaped glides with smooth, flat glides that are in full contact with the floor. In addition, consider using doormats in front of entrance doors to prevent excess dirt and dust out of the house.
