4 OUR GREEN STORY For more than 20 years, Everlast sports surfacing has enabled health clubs, fitness centers, and gyms to maintain vivid and practical flooring without sacrificing the environment. The sustainable composition of Everlast with Nike Grind makes it an ideal option for facilities seeking to increase their environmental contribution without being forced to give up the versatility, high quality, and durability of rubber surfacing. WHO IS ECORE From the beginning, ECORE International, manufacturer of Everlast sports surfacing with Nike Grind, has been at the forefront of recycling efforts. Over twenty years ago, ECORE pioneered the recycled rubber flooring category. Today, as North America s largest user of recycled scrap tire rubber, ECORE processes more than 80 million pounds of scrap tire rubber each year. This process helps to conserve more than one million barrels of oil in the process to convert pliable treads into durable product solutions for construction, consumer, sports and leisure, commercial, and industrial markets. EVERLAST APPLICATIONS Everlast sports surfacing with Nike Grind is comprised of post-consumer tire rubber, pre and post-consumer Nike Grind, and ColorMill EPDM. These materials are bound together using an elastomeric network. The entire product line is produced using a low embodied energy manufacturing process that requires minimal water, avoids heat, and reuses in-line scrap to decrease waste. The result is durable, environmentally savvy sports surfacing that passes the most stringent tests for indoor air quality, low-voc emissions, and is PVC free. Everlast sports surfacing with Nike Grind has the potential to contribute points to The United States Green Building Council s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. All Everlast recycled rubber surfacing products contain Nike Grind. Nike Grind Rubber is made from sports footwear manufacturing byproducts as well as post-consumer athletic shoes collected through the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe program. The Nike Grind material is processed and refined using technology developed by Nike engineers. The Nike Grind material is blended with premium recycled tire rubber to create Everlast sports surfacing products. By using Nike Grind material in Everlast sports surfacing products, nearly 500,000 pounds of unused Nike footwear by-products and unwanted athletic shoes will be rescued from landfills each year. 6 ROLLS AND TILES Everlast rolls and tiles are available in 35 standard colors with unlimited custom color and logo capabilities. Roll goods feature simple installation with a virtually seamless appearance, and 3 (91cm) x 3 (91cm) tiles offer an ideal solution for surfacing small areas or creating subtle splashes of color. Richard Greenhouse Interlocking Tiles are a resilient interlocking system that is engineered to protect floors in high use areas, such as corporate gyms and small fitness centers. Everlast s interlocking puzzle tiles are extremely durable, portable, and easy to install. No adhesive is required. The tight fitting, precision cut puzzle edges simply lock together, making them an ideal choice for smaller fitness applications. The 1 footed tiles are engineered to provide superior cushioning, support, and durability, while surpassing the noise and shock absorption properties of any other fitness floor. They are easily repaired or replaced and can withstand the constant dropping of weights or pounding of equipment without showing wear and tear. Designed with a patented Ultra wear layer to provide unlimited design versatility, Everlast UltraTiles offer a dimensional design solution for any fitness facility or club interior. Whether applied in combination with Everlast rolls and tiles or paired with another fitness surfacing option, UltraTile contributes to the aesthetic movement and diversified design of any facility. UltraTile s modular 2 x 2 x 1 tiles do not require adhesive and can be installed directly over existing floor finishes, enabling easier and faster installation than traditional gluedown systems. The unique dowel rod fastening system provides the ability to move or replace tiles as desired. The pedestal underside of UltraTiles also provides welcome relief for employees or trainers on their feet all day, while helping to re-route wires and cables beneath the surface to prevent clutter.
