3 Material Biodegradability The property of biodegradability of a material is the ability to be degraded into more simple substances not harmful to the environment by means of the enzymatic activity of the microorganisms present in the soil. This is the decomposition of the material and from our products, we get 100% water, carbon dioxide and biomass. The degradation of our bio-shopper, depending on the thickness of the film, occurs in all cases in less than 180 days. Compostability The compostability of an organic material is the ability to transform into compost through the composting process. Composting is defined by EN as the process of disintegrating the starting material, under specific aerobic conditions (in the presence of oxygen). Generally a composting cycle lasts from 6 to 12 weeks, under controlled conditions (humidity, temperature). All our products meet compostability requirements such as "OK compost" and same also "HOME OK compost". Renewability The characteristic of the renewability of a material is the part of the material that comes from plant origin, which can be regenerated at the end of each cycle of production / consumption.
