SURFACE PREPARATION The performance of this product is associated with the degree of surface preparation. Completely remove oil, grease and fat applying a degreasing product or as per cleaning method with solvent of standard SSPC SP1. The accumulated dirt must be removed, using a dry brush and the soluble salts must be removed, washing with fresh water at high pressure. For new work, it is necessary to grind weld beads and remove weld drops, damaged areas, sharp edges and corners through abrasive blasting grade Sa2½ or SSPC-SP10, visual standard ISO Remove every type of loose mortar and foreign material. The surface must be free of laitance, dust of concrete, dirt, release agents, Membranes cured with humidity, loose cement and hardeners. New concrete Before starting the painting, all masonry or concrete shall be cured (28 days for cement mortar or concrete) and dry, without fissures, cracks, alveoli and perfectly adhering to the base or other layers of mortar and coating. The laitance, fat stains, oil, grease or any other contamination which may have penetrated or been deposited upon the surface to be painted besides all the powder which has accumulated shall be removed from the release surfaces. Very smooth and glassy surfaces are not satisfactory for painting and shall be treated as per technical guidelines. Old concrete On old concrete, only through recommendation of the Technical Department of WEG Tintas (WEG Coatings). For further information, see the Manual of preparation and application of concrete surfaces specified at the end of this bulletin. For the application of W-POXI HSS VERNIZ 301 proceed as per the guidelines of our technical department, in order to obtain the best performance expected. Factors as the surface state, rugosity, degree of contamination and other details are essential to be evaluated for the appropriate execution of the surface preparation. Respect the repainting interval of W-POXI HSS VERNIZ 301 before applying the finishing. Note: If the maximum interval indicated for applying the subsequent coat is exceeded, it is necessary to proceed with manual / mechanical sanding using sandpaper to break the gloss. This procedure is necessary to obtain adherence between the layers. For further information contact the Technical Department of WEG Coatings through the phone specified at the end of this bulletin. APPLICATION Mixing Homogenize the contents of each one of the components by means of mechanical or pneumatic stirring (A and B). Ensure that no sediment is retained at the bottom of the packaging. Add component B to component A, in the proportions (volume) indicated, under stirring, until complete homogenization, respecting the mixture ratio. Mix Ratio 1A X 1B Thinner Recommended Epoxy Diluent 3005 Revision: 01 Page 2 of 10 Date: Dec/16

Thinning Depending upon the method application, dilute at most 10% in volume. Only add the Diluent after completing the mixture of components A + B. Do not dilute with solvents which are not allowed by the local legislation or exceed the dilution percentage indicated. Excessive dilution of the paint can affect the forming of the film the aspect and make it difficult to obtain the thickness specified. Pot Life 30 minutes at 25ºC. Induction Period (25 C) Induction not required. Note: In places of great heat, we recommend contacting the Technical Department of WEG Coatings through the phone specified at the end of this bulletin. Revision: 01 Page 3 of 10 Date: Dec/16

APPLICATION METHODS The data below is a guide, similar equipment being able to be used. Changes in the pressures and sizes of the nozzles may be required to improve the spraying features. Before application ensure that the equipment and respective components are clean and in the best condition. Empty the compressed air line to avoid contamination of the paint. After mixing the bicomponent products, if stoppages occur in application, and they exceed the useful life of the mixture (where the paint has variance in its fluidity), it can no longer be diluted again for later application. Reinforce all the sharp edges, cracks and weld beads with the wide paintbrush, to avoid premature flaws in these areas. When applying by spraying, make an overlap of 50% of each spray gun application, to avoid having uncovered and unprotected areas, ending with a cross transfer. Airless spray gun: Use Airless : 1 Fluid pressure psi Hose...1/4 of internal diameter Nozzle a Dilution... - Conventional spray gun: Spray gun...jga 502/3 Devilbiss Fluid nozzle... EX Air cover Atomization pressure to 65 psi Pressure in tank to 20 psi Dilution...Max 10% Wide paintbrush: It is only recommended for finishing touches of small areas. The wide paintbrush recommended is 75 to 100 mm in width for larger surfaces and 25 to 38 mm for finishing touches. Roller: Use velvety sheep wool rollers, adhered to the tube by the process of thermofusion, without use of glues or resins, reference 329/5 (5 mm high wool), or wool made of poliamide fibers adherede to the tube by the process of thermofusion without use of adhesives, reference 312/10 (10 mm high wool). Both references of wool rollers are produced by Pinceis Atlas S/A. Note: For application by wide paintbrush, it may be necessary to apply in two or more strokes to obtain a uniform layer in accordance with the thickness of the film recommended per coat. Cleaning of equipment: Use Epoxy Diluent Note: Do not let the catalyzed product remain in contact with the hoses, spray guns and equipment used in the spraying, as for temperatures above those described in the pot life table, the paint will have variance in its fluidity and will harden making cleaning difficult. Wash all the equipment used completely. Revision: 01 Page 4 of 10 Date: Dec/16

APPLICATION PERFORMANCE For a better performance of this product, please follow the orientations below: If wide paintbrush or roller is used, it may be necessary more than one coating to achieve the recommended dry film thickness. If the thickness is above recommendation per coat in this bulletin, it can occur the formation of bubbles in the film. In this case, for further applications, it is necessary to proceed with sanding to make the film uniform. If application occurs in maritime areas, it is recommended to wash the coated surfaces with freshwater between each coating, to remove all loose powdery deposits and soluble salts. The product must not be applied if working pot life is exceeded. Surface temperature must always be a minimum of 3 C above dew point. Do not apply if temperature is below 0 C. There may occur small variances of color, aspect and gloss of the parts applied in periods of high relative air humidity, rainy days, in places with low temperatures or in situations in which the parts are applied and placed to dry in external environments. The temperature of the substratum and climatic and environmental conditions may interfere in the drying time of the product. Epoxy systems can have a greater cure time when exposed to low temperatures. For cure at temperatures below 10ºC, contact the Technical Department of WEG Tintas (WEG Coatings). During the start cure (first 24 hours), the humidity shall not exceed 85% at the risk of impairing the visual aspect. For a better application performance, both components must be between C before mixing and painting. It shall not be applied in adverse conditions, as relative air humidity (RH) above 85% or condensed surfaces, as the gloss and color may undergo small alterations. The epoxy-based products are known for exhibiting excellent anticorrosive properties and low resistance to solar rays. In situations of exposure of the applied film to weather action, it will show a loss of gloss known as calcination and, as a consequence, changing its tonality. The film is not impaired as to its anticorrosive protection. We remind you that even after undergoing this calcination, the film is not impaired regarding its anticorrosive protection. In just-painted surfaces with direct contact with water during the process of cure, it may occur located staining with color change (more visible in dark colors), retard of cure and commitment in the development of the product. In painting varying the application method of paints in the same work, it may occur differences in gloss and final aspect of the painted pieces. Due to the variances of aspect, rugosity and features of greater or less absorption of certain concrete floors, associated with the method of application by roller, it may generate greater consumption of sealing varnish in the application. For further information contact the Technical Department of WEG Coatings through the phone specified at the end of this bulletin. SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY AND MAINTENANCE RECOATING Do not dispense with the correct washing and degreasing of the surface to apply the finishing paint. For application of finishing on product W-POXI HSS VERNIZ 301, the repainting time shall be respected. To compose an appropriate painting system, it is recommended to apply finishing W-POXI HBA 301 or W-POXI DFA 301. For further information contact the Technical Department of WEG Coatings through the phone specified at the end of this bulletin. Revision: 01 Page 5 of 10 Date: Dec/16

APPLICATION MANUAL 1. General Painting Recommendations: 1.1. Environmental conditions, surface cleaning, interval between coats: respecting all the features described in the technical bulletin No paint must be applied, if it is expected that the ambient temperature can fall to 0 C, before the paint has dried No paint application must be done in rain, mist or fog, or when the relative air humidity exceeds 85% (eighty-five percent), or when it is expected to be reached, under risk of jeopardizing the adherence between coats or total of the film applied 1.4. Each coat of paint must have a uniform thickness, free of defects such as porosity, wrinkles, blistering, bubbles, craters and impregnation of other visible contaminants The concrete surfaces shall receive suitable treatment to attain conditions of providing the good performance of the painting system. 2. General Floor Recommendations: 2.1. So that the protection system can be applied, the surface shall be clean, solid, free of any types of contaminant, totally dry and have sufficient rugosity to allow the adherence of the protection system to be applied The floor must have neutral ph (7) or slightly alkaline (10) No type of coating or painting must be applied to the floor or subfloor of concrete with additive of cure accelerator without representative tests indicating the possibility of a satisfactory adhesion of the painting system to be applied No type of coating or painting must be applied, without the concrete (or subfloor of sand and cement mortar) being totally dry and cured for at least 28 days in normal climatic conditio Coatings must not be applied to floors contaminated with oils or aggressive products. The floor shall be clean in efficacious manner. If the application is done on residue of these contaminants, the coating film may be detached and other types of failure and defect The execution project of the concrete shall foresee its prior impermeabilization, in order to avoid rising damp or the rise of the water table by the concrete capillarity, under the burden of appearance of blistering (bubbles) and peeling of the paint Check the presence of humidity in the concrete as per standard ASTM D 4263, summarized below: Stick a plastic sheet 18 x 18 inches (457 mm x 457 mm) using adhesive tape of the type Silver Tape 3M, level with the concrete surface ensuring that all the edges are well sealed Leave the plastic sheet sealed to the concrete for at least 16 h in the place After this time period (between h), remove the plastic sheet and evaluate visually the under part of the sheet an surface of the concrete regarding the presence of humidity Execute the sampling of 01 (one) test area every 46 m² or proportion thereof Do not execute the painting if there is any type of residual humidity in the plastic sheets of the samplestra. Revision: 01 Page 7 of 10 Date: Dec/16

3. General Recommendations for painting on old paint: 3.1. An analysis shall be made regarding the compatibility of the old paint with the system to be applied. If there is any incompatibility, the painting shall not be done, or all the old paint shall be removed beforehand. If there is compatibility, the sanding shall be executed (to break the gloss and promote adherence) and cleaning of the floor If there is peeling of old paint (even with compatible systems), a scraping and/or removal of all the old paint shall be executed. For this scraping tools can be used as steel spatulas, milling machines and grinders G-16 G The surface, after scraping, sanding or any other type of repair shall be clean of contaminants and residue Contact the Technical Department of WEG Tintas (WEG Paints) to evaluate the requirement of applying the sealer. 4. Execution of Painting (Basic methodology recommended): 4.1. Start degreasing: Wet all the surface well with clean water, under high pressure and preferably hot Spread uniformly over all the area a biodegradable detergent solution as per instruction of the detergent manufacturer; Rub vigorously with the aid of industrial floor waxers, polishers and/or piassabai palm brushes and brooms; Leave it to act on the floor for approximately 10 minutes; Rinse with clean water in abundance, under high pressure and preferably hot and leave it to dry Repeat this start degreasing process, as many times as necessary. As an option the floor can be rubbed in the localized points where the greatest contamination by oil and ordinary acids is perceived, followed by the degreasing process, described above Important Comment: To start the application of the painting system described below, it is necessary that the floor is completely dry, free of humidity, for which the aid of blowtorches can be used, always ensuring with the plastic or aluminum paper test (ASTM D 4263). Before starting the painting the concrete shall have residual humidity of at most 6% These technical recommendations aim to obtain the best performance of the painting system Surface preparation: The surface preparation must be executed in compliance with Standard SSPC SP-13/NACE # 6, Technical Guideline # of ICRI International Concrete Repair Institute and compared with the visual standards expressed as CSP 1 to 9: CSP 1 Acid etching CSP 2 Grinding CSP 3 Light shotblast CSP 4 Light scarification CSP 5 Medium shotblast CSP 6 Medium scarification CSP 7 Heavy abrasive blast CSP 8 Scabbled CSP 9 Heavy scarification The type of surface preparation will affect the thickness of the painting schema and consequently the consumption and yield of the material, also impacting the real function of the system applied (see the table below): Visual Standard (Technical Guide of ICRI) mils mils µm CSP-1 Acid etching CSP-2 Grinding ,4 Revision: 01 Page 8 of 10 Date: Dec/16

Visual Standard (Technical Guide of ICRI) mils mils µm CSP-3 Light shotblast CSP-4 Light scarification CSP-5 Medium shotblast CSP-6 Medium scarification CSP-7 Heavy abrasive blast ,5 CSP-8 Scabbled CSP-9 Heavy scarification Scarification (milling cutter): This method is an excellent option for repairs and recovery of damaged surfaces, being appropriate for both light and heavy work. This equipment is recommended for cutting antiskid grooves, removal of surface layers of concrete contaminated as with grease, oil, rubber, synthetic paving, paint, drops, ranges of traffic demarcation among other application ion floor surfaces in general. The milling cutter consists of an electric motor (three-phase or single-phase) or gasoline engine which rotates a reel of tools/disks parts of Widea (tungsten carbide) which execute the surface wear and chipping of the floor. The depth of the wear will depend upon the type and format of the disk used together with the milling cutter shaft Manual polishers and rotary hammers: The polishers are intended for the service of preparation, regularization, reduction, cleaning and polishing of floors and coatings. These machines work with electric motors (three-phase or single-phase) and with 1 or 2 multiuse disks (3 grinders or diamond tipped inserts per disk). Depending upon the hardness of the floor, inserts of carborundum or widea (tungsten carbide) can be used Captive blast with centrifugal turbines Another way of preparing the concrete, mainly in floors, is with the blast produced by centrifugal turbines, using steel shot in a closed circuit. The turbine throws the shot particles against the concrete and a strong vacuum withdraws the powder and shot, which undergo a purification process and return to the turbine to be thrown against the floor again. This method wears some millimeters of the concrete Treatment with acido This type of surface treatment with acid requires great care and attention. Acid is only recommended on floors at the level of the soil and walls, provided that there is no risk of infiltration, as acid attack in the ironwork can jeopardize the mechanical resistance and safety of the structure. When opting to use this method, follow the steps below: Wet the surface beforehand, apply the solution with 15% of hydrogen chloride (muriatic) acid in water (01 part of commercial muriatic acid to 01 part of water in volume). Important note: To calculate the quantity of solution required, consider that 10 liters of muriatic acid solution covers approximately 15 to 18 m2 of area Spread the acid solution uniformly on the surfasse, using nylon piassabai palm brush, avoiding the formation of puddles and letting the solution act on the concrete until the surface has a rugosity similar to a sheet of sandpaper 80. Revision: 01 Page 9 of 10 Date: Dec/16

Wash with water in abundance to eliminate all the acid residue and attain ph near to neutral Apply the first coat of the sealer or coating when the concrete is dry. 5. General Recommendations for Painting New Floor: 5.1. One must proceed as per the instructions of the technical bulletin described in this document, as well as the aforesaid instructions If there any queries regarding the performance of the floor, do not apply any product and contact the technical area of WEG Tintas (WEG Paints) For the preparation and application, it is advisable to contract specialized companies responsible for the application of the product.
