3 25 YEAR RESIDENTIAL WARRANTY This warranty relates to Embelton s engineered timber, bamboo and laminate flooring ranges. ABOUT THIS WARRANTY The benefits to the consumer under the warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to the goods or services to which the warranty relates. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to major failure. All expenses related to warranty claims are the responsibility of the consumer making the warranty claim. The original purchaser of Embelton flooring in Australia is offered the following warranties, effective for purchases made after 1st June Please note this product is warranted for indoor use only, and is not transferrable in the event of a property sale. Embelton Floating Floors installed in rental properties are covered under Embelton s 10 year commercial warranty, not this 25 year residential warranty. 25 YEAR LIMITED SURFACE WARRANTY The manufacturer warrants to the original purchaser that the top surface layer will not wear through under normal conditions of wear and tear, for a period of twenty-five years from the date of purchase. Gloss reduction and scratches caused by regular traffic are not considered wear through and are not covered by this warranty. The warranty becomes effective on the date of purchase. 25 YEAR STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY WARRANTY The manufacturer warrants its product in its original manufactured condition to be free from defects in material and workmanship, including dimension, lamination and assembly (may not apply to special or non-standard grade specifications, as advised at the time of sale).

4 NOTES Embelton Floating Floors must be laid indoors in suitable areas. While they are tough and durable, they are not appropriate for outdoors or humid spaces such as bathrooms and saunas. As such, this warranty does not cover floors that are laid in unsuitable areas. As a natural product, Embelton Floating Floors will continue to expand and contract during normal seasonal temperatures and humidity changes. The product, when properly installed, may experience slight expansion, contraction and separation between boards, which is normal. If minor separation does occur, it is not covered by this warranty. Expansion gaps should be installed as required. Minor Checking is a natural occurence in many timbers. If less than 5% of boards are affected by checking, this is regarded as a natural process and will not be covered in this warranty. Product thought to be defective by the installer should be returned to your dealer for inspection and possible replacement prior to installation. Installation implies acceptance of the appearance-related claims, relating to features visible at purchase, once the products are installed. If a flooring product from Embelton should fail to meet the Terms of the Warranty, G P Embelton & Co. Pty Ltd and the manufacturer, at its option, will either supply a replacement product from the current range, parts to repair or replace the defective product, or refund the purchase price of the defective product prorated over the remaining life of this limited warranty. A minimum of 10% of the total installed surface area must be affected for the warranty to apply. This warranty is exclusive. It covers the repair or replacement of defective materials only. It does not cover mouldings or accessories. It does not cover labour costs. Installation of the replacement products will be at the buyer s expense. The above remedy is the customer s only and is an exclusive remedy for claims under this warranty. CONDITIONS The manufacturer will honour claims under this warranty, only if all of the following conditions are satisfied: The covered person must provide proof of date of purchase, original purchase price and that he/she is the original purchaser. He/she must also demonstrate the floor is at the original installation site. At all times between purchase and installation, the flooring must be properly stored according to installation instructions. This warranty applies to interior residential construction only. The flooring must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer s installation instructions. Relative humidity in the area of use must be maintained within a range of 30% to 70%. Room temperature of degrees Celsius is recommended. Embelton Floating Floors must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer s recommendations. The manufacturer must receive written notice within 30 days after discovery of any claimed defect or failure covered under this warranty. The manufacturer must be given 60 days following notice to inspect the product to confirm any failure. Written notice should be sent to G P Embelton & Co. Pty Ltd. The manufacturer or its representatives must be given the opportunity to inspect the floor prior to any repair or alteration. The warranty will be made void if unusual man-made or natural disasters, including leaking or broken plumbing, fire, flood, earthquake or standing water occur during or after installation. Heavy objects and furniture such as bookcases, billiard tables or kitchen units should not be situated on any floating installation. This can lead to the floor failing to respond to contraction and expansion, which can cause squeaking and possible failure. Correctly installed expansion gaps. Please see the note below regarding Embelton expansion gaps. THE IMPORTANCE OF EXPANSION GAPS Expansion Gaps are essential as a floating floor must be allowed to move as a raft. If the raft is too big for the space in which it is laid, the floor has nowhere to move, and will potentially result in cupping, peaking or gapping. Floors laid without an appropriate expansion gap will not be covered under warranty. Internal Expansions Gaps any installation exceeding 8m x 8m will require an internal expansion gap using a Z-Profile or T-moulding. If the floor is bigger than this, it will have too much weight and not be able to move as designed. Perimeter Expansion Gaps should be a minimum of 10-15mm for laminate floors, around the perimeter of the floating floor to allow it to move naturally. Scotia and beading will adequately cover perimeter expansion gaps. All doorways and adjoining rooms should have expansion joints. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS The manufacturer s warranty does not cover the following: Indentations, scratches, damage caused by negligence or accident, water ingress, insects, animals, high-heeled or spiked shoes, urine and high traffic areas. Failure to follow the manufacturer s written floor installation instructions, including protecting the floor from subfloor moisture. Exposure to excessive heat, sunlight or improper humidity in the environment.

7 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS Improper maintenance, insufficient protection or misuse. Where subfloor heating is used. Improper alterations to the original manufactured product. Alterations or repairs to the manufacturer s original product will void any and all warranties. Changes in colour or appearance due to full or partial exposure to sunlight, weather, ageing or refinishing. Failure due to structural changes in the subfloor, settling of the building or an uneven subfloor that has not been adequately levelled (+/- 3mm over 1000mm). WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS The foregoing is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except as covered by Common Law. The manufacturer shall not be liable for loss of use or any other incidental or consequential costs, expenses or damages incurred by the original purchaser. This warranty gives you specific rights and you may also have other rights that may vary from State to State. It should be read in conjunction with G P Embelton & Co. Pty Ltd s General Terms and Conditions of Sale (available upon request). MAINTENANCE GUIDE Your Embelton Floating Floor is designed with low maintenance in mind. Follow these simple steps to achieve many years of enjoyment from your floor. PREVENTATIVE CARE TIPS In areas of excessive traffic and wear, please make use of runners or area rugs. Use felt protectors under heavy pieces of furniture and chairs. Use protective mats at all exterior entrances. Do not use rubber-based furniture or mats as the rubber may leach into the floor. Spiked heels or shoes in need of repair can severely damage your floor. Keep animal nails trimmed to prevent excess scratching. Protect your floor by using a dolly for moving furniture or appliances. Try not to slide or roll across the floor. Maintain relative humidity levels between 30% and 70%. All doorways and adjoining rooms should have expansion joints. REGULAR MAINTENANCE TIPS Sweep or vacuum as often as necessary to remove any loose dirt or grit before it can scratch the floor. Use a slightly damp mop only avoid excessive amounts of water. Steam mops must not be used. Oil soaps, wax, liquid or other household products may affect your coating and should be avoided. RESTORATION SANDING AND RE-COATING Laminate flooring is not a natural product, and cannot be sanded and re-coated under any circumstances. PLANTINO LAMINATE - 2 STRIP Design Featured: Limed Oak

8 TITAN SELECT RESIDENTIAL WEAR WARRANTY All Titan laminate flooring is sold with a Residential Wear Warranty from the date of purchase. Titan Select 8 offers a 20 Year Residential Wear Warranty. Titan Select 12 and Longboard offer a 25 Year Residential Wear Warranty. WHO IS COVERED? The original purchaser is covered. In the case that a builder or developer purchases the flooring, the occupant of the residential home 12 months after purchase of the flooring will be entitled to cover under this warranty, effective from the date of the initial purchase. WHAT IS COVERED? This warranty covers wear through of the surface of the floor (show through of the HDF core) in an single area greater than 4cm² within 20 years. Titan Laminate Flooring Installation Instructions must be followed closely when installing your Titan Floor and Titan Laminate Flooring Care & Maintenance Guidelines should be followed at all times after your flooring is installed. Installation instructions can be found inside each pack of Titan Flooring and Care & Maintenance Guidelines can be obtained by contacting your Titan Retailer (place of purchase) at any time. WHAT IS NOT COVERED? Wear that may be directly associated with water or liquid damage from any source, moisture ingress from any source into the core or indentations. Wear that may be associated with improper installation or improper maintenance. Damage, intentional or accidental, caused by water, abuse, misuse, stiletto heels, dragged objects, heavy furniture, sand, stones, castor wheels dropped items etc. Scratches or surface marks / stains. Labour charges associated with any rectification work. In some cases, reasonable labour costs may be considered, at the sole discretion of the distributor s authorised representative. Any costs associated with any rectification work required other than the supply of new flooring and scotia beading if necessary. Re-painting, removal of fixtures or furniture, accommodation and any other cost is specifically excluded from this warranty. Of course, boards that are visibly faulty or deemed visually or structurally inappropriate prior to installation should not be installed and are therefore also not covered by this or, to the extent allowed by law, any other warranty. HOW TO EVOKE A CLAIM? To evoke a claim under this warranty, communication with the retailer that the flooring was purchased from must be made. Proof of purchase will be required when contact with the retailer is made. The retailer will then contact Premium Floors Australia P/L or an authorized third party to arrange an inspection of the flooring installed, shortly after which a determination will be made regarding the warranty claim. Only duly authorised representatives of the manufacturer / distributor can authorise a claim. If a claim is authorised, remedies will be tailored to suit individual circumstances. Remedies can vary depending on the condition of the floor and warrantable area from full floor replacement to the repair of individual boards. The remedy on each claim will be at the sole discretion of Premium Floors Australia P/L. Should board replacement be necessary, new boards from the current batch will be supplied to replace or repair boards. This warranty is in addition to, and has no impact on, statutory rights of any purchaser. Claims must be lodged by contacting the retailer from where the flooring was purchased within 15 days of the problem being noticed. PLANTINO LAMINATE - 2 STRIP Design Featured: Limed Oak

9 AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. ACCEPTABLE QUALITY Titan Laminate Flooring is fit for use in internal environments / installations and should not be used externally. Furthermore, Titan Laminate Flooring should not be directly adhered to a subfloor and must be installed as a floating floor. Titan Laminate Flooring should be installed in a laminate flooring friendly environment in which the area is occupied, protected from direct heat and sunlight and where heating and cooling systems are in place and used to control the internal temperatures and humidity. Titan Laminate Flooring should not be installed in wet areas including bathrooms, toilets, areas or rooms where a floor waste (water drain) is present or required. Residential kitchens are not considered as wet areas. Obviously, Titan Laminate Flooring should be installed as per the installation instructions (found inside each carton) and maintained in accordance with the Care & Maintenance Guidelines (available form your place of purchase). PLANTINO LAMINATE - 2 STRIP Design Featured: Blackwood MAJOR FAILURE Titan Laminate Flooring is resistant to chips, scratches, stains and wear but not proof in any respect (i.e. scratch proof) and reasonable care should be taken to avoid scratching chips & damage from occurring. In addition, some gloss variation between boards installed may occur. Titan is made using High Density Fibreboard in the core of the product and that this wood based material can be susceptible to seasonal movement, creating small gaps between the joins of each board. Note that small gaps, gloss variation, scratches and chips are NOT considered as major failure. They are considered part of purchasing a laminate floor. These definitions are not intended to reduce or diminish the statutory rights of any purchaser. As the warranties for Titan Laminate Flooring deal only with the manufactured goods, installation warranties should be sought from the installation company or individual completing the installation. 10 DEFECTS WARRANTY GUIDELINES Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. What constitutes a major failure is set out in the Australian Consumer Law. While you should have years of enjoyment of your new investment with peace of mind, you cannot rely on quality products and warranties alone. It is extremely important to ensure that proper installation and maintenance is carried out, and also that the temperature range within your home is well maintained, otherwise your warranty might not apply (see conditions below). Laminate flooring should be protected from: excessive heat, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, dryness or moisture, which may cause damage to your floor. The limited warranties contained in this document are all conditional. They are subject to the limitations, disclaimers and exclusions described below and are effective for flooring products purchased after 1 January All warranties run from the date of retail purchase for the applicable period described below. The benefits under these Warranties are in addition to other rights and remedies under a law in relation to the goods. For the avoidance of any doubt, any and all undertakings which are not guaranteed under the Australian Competition and Consumer Act or the Australian Competition and Consumer Regulations 2010 and which are not expressly included in this Warranty are excluded to the extent possible under that legislation. WHO IS COVERED? This defects warranty is for the benefit of the property owner for whom the flooring product is installed ( you ). It is not transferable. WHAT ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR UNDER OUR WARRANTIES? To be covered under our warranties you need to retain your sales receipt and make sure that the flooring is properly installed in accordance with our installation instructions. If you were not the direct purchaser then you will need to obtain evidence of purchase (eg receipts) from the contractor who purchased the products for you, and of correct installation, as explained further below. You must also properly care for your new floor using our easy to follow maintenance instructions in the Product & Maintenance Guidelines. We recommend that you use only our specially formulated floor care products to preserve your flooring. The use of floor care products other than those we have specially formulated for use on our flooring products may damage your floor. DEFECTS WARRANTY Subject to the conditions stated below and elsewhere in this Warranty, including correct installation and maintenance in accordance with our guidelines, and under normal household use, we warrant that: 1. Pre-Installation Defects Warranty We warrant that our flooring products will not have any obvious dimensional or visual defects. You or your installer should carefully inspect the products before installation for such defects. This pre-installation defects warranty expires upon installation. 2. Defects Warranty for as long as you own the floor: For as long as you own the floor, we warrant to you that: 1. The Armstrong laminate flooring products, in their original manufactured condition, will be free from manufacturing defects. 2. The wear layer will not wear through under normal household use; 3. Armstrong adhesive will maintain its bond when properly installed with our laminate flooring products; 4. Armstrong laminate flooring products, when properly installed according to our installation instructions over radiant-heated subfloors will not buckle as long as the finished flooring surface does not exceed 28 C.

11 WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM? We want you to be happy with your floor purchase. If you are not, call your retail store first. They can answer your questions and, if necessary, start to process a claim. 13 MAINTENANCE GUIDES FOR ARMSTRONG LAMINATE FLOORING PROTECT YOUR BEAUTIFUL NEW FLOOR 1. Place a natural or colourfast mat at outside entrances to collect tracked-in dirt and absorb excess moisture. 2. For added indentation resistance, use felt floor protectors on chairs and other furniture. As a rule of thumb, the heavier the item, the wider the floor protector should be. 3. You may purchase Laminate floor care products at your local flooring retailer. ROUTINE CARE 1. Vacuum, sweep or mop your floor once a week, or more if needed. The vacuum head must be brush or felt, and a wand attachment is preferable. Do not use vacuums with beater bars or hard heads. A hardwood floor micro-fibre mop is also highly recommended to eliminate finer particles of grit and dirt that can act like sandpaper on laminate floors. 2. Never use a steam mop. This will create too much moisture which can damage the floor and will void manufacturer s warranty. 3. Spills and tracked-in dirt should be wiped up immediately. For spot cleaning, apply a Laminate Spray Cleaner onto a clean cloth and rub into the spot. Never apply wax treatments to your urethane-coated floor. 4. Periodically, as necessary, thoroughly clean the floor with Laminate Spray Cleaner using a micro-fibre mop. Spray the floor cleaner directly onto the floor or dampen the microfibre mop and apply. DO NOT allow excess Spray Cleaner to remain on the floor s surface. Excess liquid may damage the floor. 5. Use interior and exterior doormats at all entrances to collect dirt and moisture and prevent it from being tracked onto the floor. 6. Area rugs are recommended in front of kitchen sinks, at all pivot points and within high traffic areas. Do not use rugs with solid rubber or vinyl backings. The rugs must be made of a breathable material to prevent moisture entrapment. 7. Immediately clean up any liquid spills. Never clean with an excessively wet mop, it may permanently damage the floor. When using a wet mop, fully ring the water from the mop, ensuring the mop head is only damp. Prolonged exposure to excess moisture could damage the floor. 8. Never use any of the following products (or products similar in nature) on your floor: ammonia- based cleaners, acrylic finishes, wax-based products, bleach, polishes, oil soap, abrasive cleaning soaps, or acidic materials. Many of these products pit or etch the finish of your flooring or prevent the proper use of recommended maintenance materials. 9. Keep animal nails trimmed to minimise finish scratches. 10. Do not damage your floor with shoes having heel taps or sharp objects protruding from the sole such as rocks, exposed nails and gravel. 11. Avoid walking on wood floors with spike or stiletto heeled shoes. Spike or stiletto high heels must be properly maintained to prevent damage from the steel heel support. 12. Do not roll or slide heavy objects directly upon the floor. When moving appliances or heavy furniture, consider laying a solid protective covering on your floor and gently walk the item across it. Carpet or cardboard is not adequate to prevent surface compression scratches. 13. Use furniture leg protector pads under all furniture and make certain to keep them clean and well maintained. 14. Replace hard, narrow furniture rollers with wide rubber rollers. 15. Keep the relative humidity in your home between 35% and 55%. 16. Protect your floor from direct sunlight. Use curtains and UV resistant film on large glass doors and windows. Colour shade variation can occur if the floor is exposed to direct sunlight. 17. Do not use soap-based detergents or mop and shine products, as these may leave a dull film on your floor. 18. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or scouring powder, which can scratch your floor. And, in very sandy areas or the beach, sweep or vacuum regularly. 19. Do not wax or polish your floor. 20. Laminate flooring like other types of smooth floors, can become slippery when wet. Allow time for floor to dry after washing. Immediately wipe up wet areas from spills, foreign substances, or wet feet.
