9 Portable Baptistry Liner Care Liner Care Basics Your Portable Baptistry Liner is made from the finest, premium grade materials. Prior to shipping to you, it was specially leak tested at our facility for worry-free and reliable use. Yet, your Liner still requires a thoughtful approach to its use and storage to avoid treatment that could cause a leak perhaps from puncture, tear, or other misuse, and to promote a long life for your Liner that is of worry-free. The following are some commonsense considerations and protocols for fostering proper Liner-care habits that will help maintain a healthy Liner. 1.) Do not put sharp objects into the Portable Baptistry during use. Your Portable Baptistry purchase includes a drain pump that has been chosen for its Liner-safe compatibility with the Portable Baptistry. If you use another drain pump, beware of sharp edges on plastic and metal drain pumps used for emptying the Portable Baptistry. 2.) Inspect the area where you plan to store the Portable Baptistry, making special precautions to avoid areas where sharp objects may inadvertantly come into contact with the Liner during storage. Storing your Liner seperately in a plastic tote is a great way to protect it from mishandling while in storage, and minimizing any exposure to sharp objects. Furthermore, avoid wrapping the Liner with straps or bungee cords when storing away. These may hook the Liner or otherwise cause a tearing. 3.) Always fold the Liner carefully to a compact size prior to storing away. For a Liner folding method that has proven effective at making the Liner as compact as possible for storage, refer to the How to Fold Your Liner section. 4.) Always disinfect the Liner with non-abrasive spray disinfectant /detergent thoroughly after each use. 5.) Dry your Liner thoroughly after draining your Portable Baptistry and prior to storing it away. A combination of towel drying and 10 minutes of air drying is recommended. 6.) Do not drag an unfolded (or folded) Liner on the floor or sidewalk. Folded properly and compactly, always carry the Liner to and from any setup location. 7.) Do not use or store the Portable Baptistry in freezing temperatures, as this may cause severe damage to the Portable Baptistry Liner. 8.) Do not leave water in the Portable Baptistry for a period of more than 72 hours without testing the water quality daily to maintain: ph at 7.4 Bromine Residual at 2-5ppm Total Alkalinity (TA) at 100ppm Calcium Hardness at 175ppm minimum. Discovering a Leak A hole put in the Portable Baptistry Liner is a relatively easy problem to fix, and generally should not significantly shorten the life and use of the Liner. Most Liners that may have been patched a few times look and function as new. Upon discovering a leak, drain the Portable Baptistry immediately. When empty, carefully lift the Liner paying close attention underneath the Liner to the area where the water has come from. If a leak has occurred it most likely has been caused by a very, very small hole, perhaps less than 1/8 in size. Noting the proximity to any leaked moisture, it is always easier to locate a hole in the Liner on the underside of the Liner. When a hole is located, follow the Liner patching instructions on the package of the Portable Baptistry Liner Patch Kit that is provided with your Portable Baptistry purchase. (It is suggested that when you unpack your Portable Baptistry the first time, that you locate the Liner Patch Kit (packed with your Liner) and put it in a designated file folder, or somewhere that you will remember where it is, in the event some day you need it.) Always patch a Liner on the underside of the Liner for best adhesion. If the hole is larger than 1/2 in size, it is reommended that Patches are applied on both sides of the Liner. Another method for locating a hole, though a little more laborsome, is to hold the Liner over head (preferably on a sunny day) and look for light coming thru the hole in the Liner. Limited Warranty PortableBaptistry.com warrants the Portable Baptistry, components and replacement parts to be free from any and all defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, except where otherwise stated herein. Upon receipt and inspection, PortableBaptistry.com will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, any component returned during the warranty period subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. Original proof of purchase is required for this warranty to apply. Proof of purchase consists of a copy of the original dated sales receipt/invoice with your returned component. 2. As determined by PortableBaptistry.com, this warranty does not apply to damage resulting from negligence, abuse, normal wear, or any defect or non-conformity caused by improper or unreasonable use, including but not limited to color fading, cuts, punctures, abrasions, wrinkles, brittleness of the Baptistry Liner, as well as any component(s) deterioration due to exposure to the elements. 3. Fifteen Year Pro-Rated Liner Warranty PortableBaptistry.com GUARANTEES THIS LINER AGAINST SEAM SEPARATION AND FAULTY WORKMANSHIP UNDER NORMAL USE for a period of fifteen years from the original date of purchase. The manufacturer s obligation shall be specifically limited to repairing or replacing the Liner at the manufacturer s option, and does not include shipping/freight or any other expenses or damages resulting from a failure of the Liner. This warranty does not apply to damage due to improper installation, accidents, tears, holes, punctures, fading, wrinkles, and irregularities in pattern printing, negligence of maintenance, failure of the owner to maintain proper water quality/chemical levels. The materials used in the fabrication of the Liner are not produced by PortableBaptistry.com and any failure due to material defects will be referred to the manufacturer of the raw materials. Failure to maintain proper water quality/chemical levels may cause premature color loss, wrinkling, or brittleness in the liner material. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damages to persons or property caused by any failure of the Liner. As the most common cause of Liner failure is neglect, please read and follow the LinerCare recommendations in your Instruction Guide, and you ll likely enjoy many years of troublefree service. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and remedies, which are exclusive and limited by its terms. Liner Warranty Replacement Procedure If you find that you have a seam separation and wish to initiate a warranty claim, you must contact PortableBaptistry.com for a RMA number prior to returning the Liner for PortableBaptistry.com inspection. Shipping/freight charges must be prepaid, collect shipments will not be accepted. Upon PortableBaptistry.com s inspection of your Liner, you will be given a timely response as to the disposition of your claim. If your claim is covered under warranty, PortableBaptistry.com will determine if your Liner is repairable or must be replaced and will furnish current Liner pricing accordingly. Refer to the chart below to determine what prorated retail price you will be charged by PortableBaptistry.com to replace the liner. If your claim is not covered by warranty, our LinerCare Service ($249 +shipping) may be able to repair the Liner or a replacement Liner will be recommended.
