17 Preliminary agreements Adjustment of the standard language The requirements will look like: The standard shall require that management plans or their equivalents include at least a description of the current forest management unit, longterm objectives; and the average annual allowable cut, including its justification and, where relevant, the annually allowable use of non-wood forest products. 17

18 Further discussion items / work in progress The structure of the SFM standard might migrate to the ISO High Level Structure for Management System Standards Criterion 1: Maintenance and appropriate enhancement of forest resources and their contribution to the global carbon cycle Closer link between the requirements and the global carbon cycle 18
