8 GOALS TO ACHIEVE EXPERIMENTAL STAGE (WP 2): selection of the optimal materials for RAPS performance, determination of the proper working parameters, specification of correct assumption for construction project, gaining experience in the field of passive treatment of coal mine drainage. IMPLEMENTATION STAGE (WP 4): completing the long-term effective system for neutralization of contaminated runoff waters, meeting effluents limits of wastewater, long term improvement of groundwater quality.
9 FIELDS OF POSSIBLE COLLABORATION CENTRAL MINING INSTITUTE (GIG) COAL AUTHORITY (CA) presentation of differences in the processes leading to releasing of acidic coal mine drainage in Poland and Great Britain, comparison of chemical composition of coal mine drainage from Great Britain and acidic runoff waters from Poland, the use of the British experience in the construction of the passive treatment of net acidic runoff waters, discussion possible usage of the DE-GASSING system (task 2.3) in the Polish conditions.
