1 IMP³rove European Innovation Management Academy Dreischeibenhaus Düsseldorf, Germany info@improve-innovation.de Overview on NACE codes This document provides you with an overview of all industry classifications, which are covered by the IMP³rove Benchmarking Tool. The list below provides an overview on the NACE Rev. 2 statistical classification of economic in the European Community. The NACE codes are structured in the following way: - a first level consisting of headings identified by an alphabetical code (sections) - a second level consisting of headings identified by a two-digit numerical code (divisions) - a third level consisting of headings identified by a three-digit numerical code (groups) - a fourth level consisting of headings identified by a four-digit numerical code (classes) The IMP³rove Benchmarking Tool displays the aggregation of the first and second levels, representing a total of 87 benchmarking classes for your use. Example: Assumed, you want to classify a glass manufacturing company. If you search for it in the pdf-document which is linked on the IMP³rove platform ( you can utilize Strg+F to specify a search term in the document e.g., glass. The first hit is C Manufacture of glass and glass. On the IMP³rove platform, you could then chose C23 - Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral.
