2 Company overview Adaptronica is a R&D company providing consulting services, offering products, and doing research related to the field of smart technologies. Applications of smart technologies: increase of the reliability of engineering structures during their lifetime, help to preserve their integrity in extreme conditions, major fields of activity: Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), Adaptive Impact Absorption (AIA). Adaptronica small spin-out company, originated from the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, young, highly-qualified engineers supported by experienced researchers.

10 Structural Health Monitoring Truss bridge monitoring system The system consists of two components weigh in motion (WIM) part for identification of the load exerted on rails by passing trains This load will provide input for the SHM system mounted on the bridge. SHM system for collecting dynamic responses of the structure using piezoelectric sensors for assessing the bridge state Wireless data transfer system for transfering collected data to a remote analysis center
