9 Legal bases for the remediation of contaminated Wismut sites According the German Radiation Protection Ordinance ( 118), on the territory of the former GDR in regard to the remediation of residues of earlier practices and work activities as well as the decommissioning and remediation of plant facilities and operating sites for uranium mining, the following provisions shall continue to apply: VOAS & DB VOAS HaldAO 1. Ordinance on the Guarantee of Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection of 11 October 1984 in addition to implementation provisions for the Ordinance on the Guarantee of Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection of 11 October Order for the Guarantee of Radiation Protection in Dumps and Industrial Sedimentation Installations and for the Use of Materials Stored therein of 17 November December 6, 2012 Dr. Klaus Flesch
