5 OPERATIONAL ISSUES ALL WASTE COLLECTED WILL BE TAKEN TO A PRE SELECTED WASTE SORTING CENTERS WHERE MONITORING AND REPORTING OF THE CATCH WILL TAKE PLACE. WHERE POSSIBLE THE PLASTICS SORTED OUT OF THE CATCH WILL BE SENT TO LOCAL PLASTICS RECYCLING COMPANIES WHERE THEY WILL BE TURNED BACK INTO RAW MATERIALS. THERE WHERE CONTAMINATIONS LEVELS ARE TOO HIGH OR FOR SOME OTHER OPERATIONAL REASONS, THE CATCH WILL BE TAKEN FOR ENERGY RECOVERY LANDFILL OF MATERIAL COLLECTED FROM THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT IS EXCLUDED (SOME POORLY MANAGED LANDFILLS ARE CAUSE OF LITTER ISSUES) WasteFreeOceans
6 PREVENTION LITTER IS RAW MATERIAL SO LET S ALL MAKE SURE TO COLLECT IT AND USE IT AGAIN IN A SENSIBLE WAY AS THE FIRST MATERIAL INDUSTRY, THE PLASTICS INDUSTRY CALLS UPON LEGISLATOR TO CLOSE EUROPEAN LANDFILLS FOR PLASTICS WASTE LATEST BY 2020 BY CONSIDERABLE INCREASE OF MECHANICAL RECYCLING TARGETS FOR ALL PLASTICS, FURTHER IMPROVEMENT OF COLLECTION AND SORTING INFRASTRUCTURE, A LOT OF MATERIAL THAT IS LANDFILLED TODAY CAN BE USED AGAIN AND AGAIN.
