8 FRENCH SODIUM SCHOOL The French Sodium School teaches sodium technology Created in 1975, more than 3500 trainees over 31 years, 10 to 20 sessions per year Different courses (in French or in English) 30 specialized teachers Sodium cycle, sodium equipment Loop operation, cleaning, contaminated sodium management, decommissioning, NaK Practice test rooms including Sodium fire area, Sodium circuits and specific instrumentation room Preservation of a large amount of knowledge on sodium technology Presently active for current needs security training, SUPERPHENIX decommissioning staff, PHENIX decommissioning staff ASTRID program Open to international cooperation Specific courses for Indian (IGCAR) and Chinese (CAEA) active collaboration with JAEA sodium School in Tsuruga European Programs ESNI+ CEA DECEMBER 2013 PAGE 8
