1 First Nations Regional Early Childhood, Education, and Employment Survey (FNREEES) Fieldworker Supervisor Job Description Position Title: FNREEES Fieldworker Supervisor Number of Positions: 2 Location: Vancouver or surrounding area Compensation: $25/hour plus authorized expenses Tenure: 6 months, full-time beginning mid-april 2014 Open to: People 18 years of age and older Preference will be given to First Nations individuals Survey Description: The First Nations Regional Early Childhood, Education, and Employment Survey (FNREEES) is designed to collect national level information related to First Nations living on reserve and in northern communities in the areas of Early Childhood Development, Education and Employment. Two FNREEES Fieldworker Supervisors will be contracted: 1. One will be responsible for data collection in the Vancouver Island, Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions. 2. One will be responsible for data collection in the Interior and Northern Health regions. Job Description: Communicate with selected communities to answer questions and document and obtain community consent. Work with band clerks to create community sample frames. Conduct regional training sessions for data collectors and one-on-one training for new data collectors as required. Provide daily technical, logistical and project support to data collectors. Troubleshoot issues. Process all data collector weekly reports and invoices. Motivate and track progress with respect to data collection quotas. Job Requirements: Previous experience conducting data collection in FN communities. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Troubleshoot issues in a timely manner. Able to work under tight timelines and work to strict deadlines. Good communicator and motivator. Must be at least 18 years of age.

2 Must know how to speak, read and write English. Basic computer skills. Access to a cell phone and . Valid driver s license. Must attend training. Must consent to a criminal records check and reference check. A criminal record will only preclude a candidate from employment when the nature of the record prevents the candidate from meeting the inherent requirements of the position. Must sign an Oath of Confidentiality Agreement. Hours: You must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and week-ends. Working Conditions: Travel is required.
