8 Cyber Awareness Protecting your Business/Organisation from Cyber-attack has never been so important. The threats to your cyber presence are increasing each and every month. Cyber criminals operate 24/7 on a global scale. Training Course Outline Half Day The Health Informatics Cyber Security awareness sessions are suitable for any audience who needs to have an understanding of, or are responsible for preventing cyber-attacks. The sessions provide an insight into potential threats (attack vectors), risk-based, best practice cyber security standards (IASME, IASME Gold) and implementation/ compliancy steps that can be taken to ensure levels of protection are created within your organisation (Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus). The IASME Governance standard, based on international best practice, is risk-based and includes aspects such as physical security, staff awareness and data backup. IASME offers the option to be assessed against GDPR requirements as part of the IASME Governance assessment. The IASME Governance Self-Assessment also includes the Cyber Essentials assessment within it. Cyber Essentials aims to help organisations implement basic levels of protection against cyber-attack, demonstrating to their customers that they take cyber security seriously. The five basic controls within Cyber Essentials were chosen because, when properly implemented, they will help to protect against unskilled internetbased attackers using commodity capabilities which are freely available on the internet. The five controls are: Boundary firewalls and internet gateways Secure configuration Access control Malware protection Patch management The Health Informatics Cyber Security service additionally offers bespoke Cyber training (usually up to 2hrs duration), which can either be technically focused, or related to governance and compliance considerations/pathways. 10 PRINCE2 Awareness PRINCE2 Awareness Are you a Project Board member, or part of a Project Team? Our awareness sessions are suitable for anyone involved, or likely to be involved within PRINCE2 managed project environments. Additionally, this training provides a solid introduction for new Project Managers planning to undertake the Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner certified courses. 12 TYPO3 Training Course Outline Introductory Session Hands on sessions, designed primarily for delegates who have never touched upon TYPO3 before, covering basic management of a website or intranet. Course matter includes: maintenance and uploading of files and images within the online area, the creation, amendment and deletion of web pages and how to create and amend simple content. These sessions are designed for new users and those wanting to refresh previous knowledge. Support Session These bespoke sessions provide an opportunity to work through your own site in a small group with a Developer, for a duration of your choosing. 14 The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) is a globally recognised IT qualification. MOS is the only recognised performance-based certification that validates the skills needed to get the most out of Microsoft Office. There are three grades on offer: Master Expert Specialist. To become certified you must pass an online 50 minute Core level exam in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint or Access. You can also take an online 50 minute Expert level exam in Word or Excel. Microsoft Office Master status is granted to those individuals who have passed Expert exams in Word and Excel, plus the core exam in PowerPoint and the core exam in either Access or Outlook. The Health Informatics Service is able to offer learning packages to help you achieve certification in your chosen specialism(s). We are the only NHS organisation to offer Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013 MOS certification exams within Yorkshire and the Humber region. Following enrolment, you get access to: A comprehensive Microsoft e-training Guide for the application you are studying e-practice questions which you can access at work or at home e-practice exams which you can access at work or at home A 50 minute invigilated Microsoft e-certification exam All courses are self-study. For those who are experienced in using Microsoft Office products, you might want to take the certification exam after completing just the e-practice questions and the e-practice exam. 16 Clinical Systems Training The Education, Training & Development (ETD) service is comprises of system specialists in both Primary and Secondary Care. The service works closely with a variety of Healthcare professionals accross multiple health sectors to deliver modern and fit for purpose training. Training can be delivered via workplace training, tutor led classroom based training, 1:1 tutorials and e-learning packages. The service includes the production of training guides and documentation, as well as Training Needs Analysis to support all training delivered. Courses SystmOne GP, Community, Palliative Care, Prisons & Acute Summary Care Record Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) Cerner Millenium Nervecentre (Electronic Observation) ICE Pathology & Radiology Requesting Training sessions can also be designed specifically for your organisation. Courses can be tailored for delegates who are new to a system, as well as to those who wish to gain a more thorough understanding of the functionality within their specific role. The ETD service works with Business Change and Information/Data Quality Departments to ensure that a comprehensive training service is provided. This ensures all staff have the appropriate knowledge and skills to use technology to retrieve, capture and analyse data from clinical systems securely and effectively. 18 Clinical Systems Optimisation The Education, Training and Development (ETD) service has a successful track record of leading both General Practice and Community Health Services through optimisation programmes, promoting both improved use of core clinical system functionality and optimised working pathways. Optimisation as a service, offers an online Training Needs Analysis process, which identifies gaps and areas in need of improvement. A further assessment is made by one of ETD s expert facilitators, in conjunction with organisational senior staff and clinicians. This forms the basis of the Business Change aspect of the project and details the work plan for the organisation over the time scale of the intervention. A Scheme of Work is then produced, supported by a programme of learning opportunities, which are both tailored to the needs and requirements of individuals and the organisation. All training programmes are built around customers needs and can be tailored to include workplace training. 23 My reason for enrolling on MOS was to keep up to date with the latest developments in Office, in particular Excel. It is a chance to learn away from the normal office environment. Help is on hand from the learning facilitator when I get stuck. This also means that web pages can be added to and updated accordingly, quicker and more efficiently as it is all controlled within the team. Information in the Division is constantly being updated so it s paramount that we are armed with the access and skill to ensure that the content available to staff and public is relevant and accurate.
