3 Terms and definitions Process - a series of actions that produce something or that lead to a particular result Reorganization - alteration of the existing structure of governmental units and the lines of control and authority between them usually to promote greater efficiency and responsibility Strategy - a careful plan or method for achieving a particular goal usually over a long period of time Public administration (in Croatia) - administrative organisations which perform tasks of public interest; they comprise state administration bodies, local and regional self-government and legal persons vested with public powers.

9 Reorganization of internal business processes A systematic reform of public administration must be based on the analysis of business processes and human resources engaged in their implementation. The enhancement of processes and increase in the quality of services provided by public administration is among the basic objectives of public administration reform Standardisation, simplification and digitalisation of the processes standards for the rationalisation of internal organisation in public administration bodies alignment of the staff number with the requirements and standards of simplified procedures.
