3 INTRODUCTION Zul Arifin Associates have been in operation since April At the beginning of the period, the operation was under the name of BZ Business Consult. Zul Arifin Associates (ZAA) has taken place since August 2002 in order to move forward to achieve our bigger goal. ZAA was established under by-laws of the professional code and conduct of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the regulatory body that governs and giving professional support to the member firms. Therefore, the firm consists of individuals that are professionally qualified, diligently competence and recognized by the Institute as well as other bodies such as Inland Revenue Board (IRB) and Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM). With the combination of the knowledge, experience and resources of the personnel in the firm, ZAA provides an integrated and highly effective and timely professional service to the clients from various areas of industry and from small to large organization and semigovernment bodies. 6 MISSION & OBJECTIVE Our Mission Zul Arifin Associates have been fully determined to be an active Bumiputera consultancy firm in providing Advisory and Consultancy services to the small, medium and large size companies and organizations. Hence, to assist developing Bumiputera businessmen and key personnel in an organization to be knowledgeable on the importance of business and financial planning through proper understanding of accounting processes, and thus to maximize the return and minimize the risk. Our Objective 1. To provide a one-on-one consultancy services as required by clients. 2. 10 OUR SERVICES We recognized the importance of corporate governance to ensure the practice of high standards of professionalism, integrity and accountability of our clients. SECRETARIAL AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES Compliance with statutory requirements by preparation and submission of returns and forms under the Companies Act 1965 to the Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (ROC). Proper maintenance of statutory books i.e register of members, directors, secretaries and management. All relevant preparation in regards with circular resolutions, notice and minutes of Annual General Meeting, Extraordinary General Meeting etc. Share registration whether to increase authorized and paid-up capital or transfer of shares. Other related services, such as the application, registration and submission to Kementerian Kewangan, EPF, SOCSO etc. ACCOUNTING SERVICES Provide services to assist clients to review, advise and setting up accounting system and monitoring clients books and records not only to provide the management with up to date information on a regular basis but also to ensure their records will able to meet to the requirements of public rulings of the Inland Revenue Boards and the auditors. 11 AUDITING SERVICES Provide auditing services to clients from various industries with an independent review of their financial statements. As part of the audit assignment, working together with our associate firm, we reviews the clients system of accounting, reporting to ensure there are sufficient control is in place to safeguard the clients business assets. TAXATION SERVICES Giving professional advices to clients on the prevailing tax laws, regulations and public ruling issued by the IRBs. Giving advice and assist clients on the payments of tax, appeal and assist on the minimizing on tax payable but in accordance to the tax law (tax planning). Giving advice on the tax computations, submission of tax returns and maintenance of proper books and records registered under the tax law and regulations. Other related services, such as the application, registration and submission of Service Tax. 12 CONCLUSION - Our strength Our main objective in this field are to assist, educate and monitor besides to furnish necessary report of the performance of the business operations, then the management could realize how is the performance of the business or investments, how much they gain, what is the percentage of return at that point of time and etc. As the organization or company has appointed us as their external consultant, the relevant business acumen plus all related financial analyst task and research as well as the evaluation of the business s month-by-month performance have been taken care of.
