2 The Ramada Storax Group The Ramada Storax factory was founded in northern Portugal in 1935 by engineer Francisco Ramada. Today Ramada Storax export their systems world-wide and are also involved in the creation of pan-european EN design standards. In 2003 Ramada Storax backed the creation of a new trading division of Storax UK: Storax Racking Supplies. As a stock-holding source of supply-only racking and shelving for trade dealers in the industry, the business is now a well-established and respected supplier in the storage equipment marketplace. Storax UK are Associate members of SEMA and full members of the Sema Distributor Group. The Ramada Storax Group plays an active part in the creation of industry standards with the European Federation of Materials Handling (FEM).

3 At Storax we are committed to supporting our customers wherever they are in the world. For our UK customers we hold a strategic stock of spares for our systems. This allows us to respond promptly and efficiently to resolve the vast majority of common issues without delay. Our in-house team, engineers and technicians offer regular planned maintenance or, alternatively, can make one-off visits as required: each visit includes the provision of a detailed condition report from which servicing and repairs can be carried out where necessary. Overseas customers receive the same level of service as those in the UK: our Field Supervisors, Agents and Distributor network provide support to customers in over 60 countries across every continent. We adopt a professional approach to the maintenance of systems that we have supplied and installed, always with safety and service in mind. If a scheduled maintenance visit identifies a potential problem, or if a customer flags up a concern when conducting an in-house routine inspection or during normal day-to-day operations, the matter can be quickly addressed: at Storax we hold a comprehensive archive of every contract s design specifications, covering 50+ years of production. In addition, we hold a wide range of popular parts at our UK warehouses in the Midlands and in Hertfordshire. Having the technical information readily available and a wide range of commonly used parts in stock means that we can respond quickly to rectify a problem, regardless of how old a system is, thereby keeping downtime to a minimum: we regularly maintain and repair systems that were installed more than 30 years ago and that are still giving good service. To further speed up remedial works we are able to produce recommended spares lists of relevant parts to suit each customer s specific system. Customers can purchase and hold these on hand for future maintenance and repair work. In addition to supplying remedial parts for our own products we offer an extensive range of associated equipment for warehouse and office applications and are always happy to give advice when needed.

7 As well as our enviable pedigree as a leading supplier of mobile solutions with our Powerack product, Storax also offer Ranger, a high-density pallet storage system designed around deployment of one or more intelligent, batterypowered shuttles. Like Powerack, Ranger systems require an annual inspection in order to comply with prevailing industry standards. However, Storax aren t only suppliers of dynamic storage products and this is reflected in the range of inspection services we offer. Our SARI (SEMA Approved Racking Inspector) can conduct comprehensive annual or bi-annual audits, which includes providing a detailed report on the condition of the entire installation and advising on any repairs that are required. We can also recommend and supply various forms of protection to minimise the damage to your static storage products, thereby reducing both downtime and the cost of future repairs.
