8 Vacuum bagging film VBA 70T SRG Technical datasheet VBA 70T SRGis a gusseted film tube for self-releasing multilayer vacuum bags to be placed in direct contact with pre-impregnated tissues for the production of pipes and hollow parts.vba 70T SRG exhibits superior strength and works extremely well with most types of resin systems. The special gusset folding of VBA 70T SRG allows it to be positioned accurately inside hollow parts. After application of the vacuum, the film expands to fit the shape of the part.this makes it very useful in applications with variations in the inner diameter of the part.this procedure is suitable for applying internal pressure to parts with smaller diameters, where the insertion of standard film tubes can be difficult. 10 Vacuum bagging film VBA 70 SG LT Technical datasheet VBA 70 SG LT is a heat-resistant flexible film made from sheets of polyolefin and nylon blend, suitable for use as a vacuum bag in the infusion processes of epoxy and vinyl-ester resins with wide and complex structures. VBA 70 SG LT is in fact particularly resistant to the high level of manipulation and traction that occurs during the above infusion processes. The special composition of the sheets retains the flexibility of the bag even in low-humidity areas and periods.in this way, the VBA 70 SG LT bag guarantees perfect impregnation of the tissues and significant reduction of waste and emissions in any operating conditions, as well as excellent aesthetic quality of the manufactured product. It can be used up to 3 times, thanks to the innovative fixing system between the Bleeder and FEP. 19 Technical datasheet Release Film ETFE HR 25 ETFE HR 25 release film is a tetrafluoroethylene. Suited for moulding in autoclave, it maintains excellent performance even when used at high temperatures and pressure, indicated for the majority of epoxy, phenol and polyester matrixes. Given its low friction composition and high mechanical strength, ETFE HR 25 has excellent release power even on the most complex shapes, giving excellent finish to the laminate. 20 Release film FEP HT 13 Technical datasheet The FEP HT 13 Release film or Teflon-FEP is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. It is suitable for autoclave moulding at high temperatures and pressures, and for using with most of the pre-pregs matrices e.g.epoxy, phenolic and polyester. Its low friction and low chemical reactivity allows FEP HT13 to have an excellent releasing power on even the most complex shapes and gives an excellent finish to the laminated product. 22 Adhesive release film HTR 260 Technical datasheet HTR 260 is a release film with a fibreglass backing, coated in PTFE and silicone adhesive on one side. The PTFE surface has excellent release properties that make it ideal for high temperature applications. The product has an embossed yellow covering to protect the adhesive surface and render identification and use easier. This film is ideal for use on flat surfaces that need excellent release properties. 23 Technical datasheet Peel Ply P6 MT85 The P6 MT85 Peel Ply are release fabrics specifically for professional use, they can be used in different moulding methods and resin systems. The use of P6 MT85release fabrics is essential for performing any kind of bonding or painting operations on laminated products. P6 MT85Peel Ply is treated chemically to remove impurities left during weaving which can contaminate the laminate. It is thermally fixed to withstand the temperatures indicated. In addition, the P6 MT85 Peel Ply comes with red tracers in the warp for better identifying the positioning and orientation on the laminate. If positioned correctly, the Vaber Peel Ply fabrics are easy to remove from the laminate. 24 Peel Ply P66 HT105 Technical datasheet The P66 HT 105 Peel Ply are release fabrics specifically for professional use, they can be used in different moulding methods and resin systems. 25 Technical datasheet Sealant tape STLT 256 STHT 256 is a butyl sealant tape with high adhesive power formulated to seal the films to the moulds, particularly suitable for the infusion method during the moulding of composite materials. STHT 256 maintains the vacuum and is suitable for applications up to 120 C. The main characteristics of the STHT 256 tape are: high adhesion, high modulus, high tensile strength and high coating performance. This brings advantages such as easy application and removal at room temperature and leaves the surfaces of the moulds clean. Recommended for use with Vacuum Bagging VBA 50T - VBA OS. 38 Temporary adhesive spray SPRAY TACK 5 Technical datasheet SPRAY TACK 5 is a temporary adhesive for positioning fiberglass and carbon fibre cloths when making compound materials (in polyester resin, vinylester and epoxy resin) using the vacuum infusion method. SPRAY TACK 5 is formulated with raw materials that are perfectly compatible with the resins used in infusion processes, and it dissolves in them quickly without altering the polymerization kinetics or the final mechanical properties of the product. Even if too much adhesive is used, it does not affect the inter-laminar adhesion of the cloths. The amount of SPRAY TACK 5 to use depends on the type of surface and the weight of the material. Non-absorbent surfaces like Gel Coat or glass resin moulds only need a small amount of SPRAY TACK 5. Porous and very absorbent surfaces like fibreglass cloth (biaxial, coupled) need around 1 kg per m2. In this type of use, a spray can covers a surface of about 15-25m2. SPRAY TACK 5 contains a blue colorant for easier control of the amount being applied, which then disappears during the polymerization process. 2) INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE From a distance of about cm apply an even layer of SPRAY TACK 5 on one or both the surfaces being coupled. The time SPRAY TACK 5 needs to develop all its adhesive properties depends on the atmospheric conditions and the thickness of the applied layer generally it takes between 30 seconds and a few minutes, after which the cloth can be positioned so that it adheres perfectly to the layer beneath, and then the operation is repeated for all the other layers. For a few minutes after the first application, the cloth can still be repositioned. The amount of SPRAY TACK 5 to use depends on the type of surface and the weight of the material. Apply SPRAY TACK 5 in well ventilated areas, and wearing suitable protection equipment. SPRAY TACK 5 is available in 500 ml spray cans. When stored in its original packaging in a dry and ventilated place, at temperatures between +15 C and +25 C, SPRAY TACK 5 has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production.
