Experience of the course provider in the Course/Programme Hong Kong Sea Transport and Logistics Association Ltd (HKSTLA) was established in 1994 as a non-profit making organization and consists of voluntary representatives working towards the interests of the shipping industry. It has been acting as a collective and authoritative voice for the shipping industry at Official and Government levels, and has been setting standards and providing educational courses to enhance the professional standards of shipping industry in Hong Kong. The objective of this course is to appreciate participants with the concept of the types and functions of different documents and the skills to do a types and cost-effective logistics operations and General philosophy of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and third-party logistics in the shipping & logistics industry.

The objective of this course is use simple methods to help students to understand the key concepts of Marketing, Sales and Customer Service and Customer Relationship Management in shipping and logistics companies. The key objective of this course is to help students to improve their sales and marketing skills and apply them in their daily work. It will also discuss the nature of business in shipping and logistics companies. What are the critical successful factors? After studying this module, students will be able to understand how CRM is applied in Marketing, Sales and Customer Service in Sea Transport and Logistics Companies.

To be awarded the Attendance Certificate, students are only required to attain minimum 80% attendance rate; OR 10. Duration (number of days or hours) and number of session(s) 11. Content/outline The course consists of 4 modules: English for Business Shipping Georgraphy Introduction to Shipping I.T. for Marine Transport & Logistics Case studies, Test papers & Final examinations 6. Medium of instruction All modules will be taught in English supplemented with Cantonese. All course materials, assessment and examinations will be in English. 7. Target participants/trainees 8. Admission requirement Target participants/trainees should be in Junior to Middle level staff either employed in Maritime and Logistics industry. - have 5 passes (equivalent to Level 2 or above in the HKCEE(including English); OR - Applicants have completed Advanced Course for Shipping Logistics Management / Advanced Course For Shipping and Logistics in Customer Relationship Management; OR - Mature student of at least 21 years of age plus two years relevant working experiences in shipping, logistics, transport, international trade, marketing or a business related area. Applicants with other equivalent qualifications will be considered on individual merits.

To be awarded the Attendance Certificate, students are only required to attain minimum 80% attendance rate; OR To be awarded the Certificate, students are required to attain minimum 80% attendance rate and also to obtain at least 50% marks from test papers and final examination. 10. Admission requirement Target participants/trainees should be in Middle and senior level staff employed in both the sea transport and Logistics industry. - Hold a Advanced Certificate in Maritime Transport & Logistics awarded by HKSTLA or equivalent qualification; OR - have 5 passes (equivalent to Level 2 or above in the HKCEE(including English); OR - Mature student of at least 21 years of age plus two years relevant working experiences in shipping, logistics, transport, international trade, marketing or a business related area.
20 9. Assessment requirement Each module comprises continuous assessments and a final examination. To be awarded the Attendance Certificate, students are only required to attain minimum 80% attendance rate; OR To be awarded the Certificate, students are required to attain minimum 80% attendance rate and also to obtain at least 50% marks from test papers and final examination. 10. Duration (number of days or hours) and number of session(s) 11. Fees 12. Subvention entitled - Nil - 25 sessions of 3 hours each and 5 final examinations of 3 hours each in total 90 hours (30 sessions) $7, per head for member of HKSTLA $7, per head for non-member of HKSTLA 13.
