National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) A relevant tertiary qualification (diploma / degree) would be ideal. 3 years proven experience in Cobol development within an on-line and / or batch environment. in the following development languages: Cobol Unix SQL JCL (Job Control Language) or equivalent systems development processes Application development Standards and governance Testing practices System architecture (technical design and implementation processes). 2 Java Architect (Digital Solutions) Purpose of the Role Capitec Bank has been rated the best Digital Bank for Grade 12 - Relevant Qualification Around 2.1 million clients use the bank s mobile app and it is tracking 60 million selfservice transactions through its app, card, internet, USSD and self-service terminals every month. Next on its agenda is to ensure that all its access points and digital platforms offer clients the same look and feel. To meet the fast-changing needs of its clients, it is working in two-week sprints to enhance its digital offerings across the company. It aims deliver these changes in six months. - Responsible for producing a comprehensive technical specification from business requirements related to the Digital Solutions Delivery environment (remote banking). - Assist the Business Analyst to ensure that the functional design offers a technical viable solution and address the business requirements. - Design technical test plans and provide guidelines to facilitate performance and stress testing. - Continuous business and industry research to guide the critical evaluation of architectural and design patterns & principles. - Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in Systems Development. - Ideally 3 years' proven experience as Architect within retail banking and/or digital channels. - Systems Architecture (technical design and implementation processes) - Systems analysis and design - UML or equivalent modelling language - Technical Test Plan Design - systems development processes - Application development - Standards and governance - Object Orientated Development environment (i.e. Java, Spring Framework, JBoss) Closing date: 2017/11/30

3 Purpose of the Role Systems Specialist (DevOps) Business Support To manage the digital channel application demands and performance through effective monitoring and continuous planning. - To own and ensure the efficient promotion of digital solutions through the various environments to production using provided "DevOps" utilities to automate the process. - To coordinate the installation of new hardware and deployment of software. - Configures server infrastructure in line with the Capitec standards. - To stay abreast of global technology trends to identify improvements and recommendations in current and future systems. - Responsible for the investigating, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving of incidents and application troubleshooting. - Grade 12 / Matric - A relevant tertiary qualification would be a pre-requisite Minimum: years' experience in Systems Administration Ideal: - 5 year's experience in Microsoft Server Operating Systems - 1 years' experience in performance and capacity monitoring - 1 years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server Minimum knowledge of: o Windows Server administration o X86 Hardware architecture o Virtualization administration A sound understanding of: o systems development processes (SDLC lifecycle) o Business continuity o Operations o Data Centre infrastructure performance and capacity analysis o Automation and scripting (e.g. Powershell) Ideal: A sound understanding of: o Linux Server Administration o Integration middleware concepts o Integration middleware solutions o Solid knowledge of JSON, XML and web services o Advanced Networking o Database management systems and software o Elastic Search, Logstash and Kibana (ELK Stack) The job holder is expected to: o Perform standby duties as per a set schedule: these may entail presence on site for new implementations or maintenance as well as remote availability to assist in troubleshooting. o Be able and willing to work extended and unplanned working hours as required by the business The job holder will be required to travel* when required.
