In the late 1990 s, after serving his apprenticeship within the family haulage business, Paul Ponsonby decided on a change of direction. He was committed to providing a comprehensive, quality service and made a strategic decision to establish a bespoke specialist warehousing and distribution operation within the Midlands area. As a result, in May 1998, Paul Ponsonby Limited Specialist Distribution was born. From humble beginnings, operating from a small warehouse in Birmingham with a single vehicle, the company has experienced steady and controlled growth. We now boast a purpose built property in the Midlands area, supplemented by a fleet of air ride suspension, specialist equipped distribution vehicles with multi-manned crews and high-tech installation capabilities. 4 Specialist Distribution Our expanding fleet of modern, clean and well driven vehicles range from 3.5 tonnes to 30 tonnes enabling us to transport a wide variety of goods efficiently and cost effectively. Our team of on-site fully trained mechanics ensure that all our vehicles are always maintained to the highest possible standard. All drivers carry out a pre-trip safety inspection at the start of each day, and the day ends by each driver fuelling, checking and thoroughly washing their vehicle. Vehicles can be driver only or doubled manned to suit your requirements. All crews are fully uniformed, courteous and contactable at all times. All of the above ensures that each team member takes pride in their work, providing you with a professional, reliable, flexible addition to your business.
