1 Press Release Hamilton, NJ, July 29, 2015 Romaco at 2015 Pharma EXPO in Las Vegas, NV Romaco North America to Exhibit Three Technologically Advanced Solutions at Pharma EXPO Las Vegas Romaco will exhibit three technologically advanced solutions September at Pharma EXPO Las Vegas booth N-649: The Romaco Innojet VENTILUS V 2.5 (laboratory scale) for high efficiency coating and granulation; the Romaco Noack 960 blister line with new technology for unique primary packaging identification; and the Romaco Kilian KTP 720X, a reliable, versatile, high speed pharma tableting machine specifically suitable for temperature-sensitive products, like Ibuprofen or Metformin. The Romaco Innojet VENTILUS V 2.5 The Romaco Innojet VENTILUS V 2.5 (laboratory scale) enables high efficiency coating and granulation processes based on an air flow bed. This patented method allows up to 75 percent shorter processing times compared to fluidized bed technologies. Romaco Innojet designed the VENTILUS series for processing small particles between 3-5 micrometers in diameter. Powders, crystals, granulates or pellets are coated, or otherwise granulated, by the application of a spray liquid and dried afterwards. The air flow bed technology offers outstanding flexibility, as it was developed with scale-up of all process parameters as a key priority. Pharma Expo Las Vegas marks the U.S. debut of this Romaco Innojet technology. The optimal process control of the Romaco Innojet VENTILUS V 2.5 results from the interaction of three patented functional components: Orbiter, Rotojet and Sepajet. Orbiter, the booster, achieves rapid and homogeneous yet gentle circulation of the product. The liquid coating or adhesive medium is applied in bottom spray mode, directly into the product. page 1 of 6

2 The Rotojet spray jet, which operates dynamically, sprays a fine film that wets the product very evenly. Sepajet filters the outlet air and ensures that the powdery particles are returned to the air flow bed process continuously. Spray loss is thus reduced to a minimum, as is the loss of valuable excipients and APIs. In total, the Romaco Innojet VENTILUS V 2.5 combines superior product quality with significantly lower costs for processing. Romaco Noack 960 Blister Packaging Line with Anti-counterfeit Solution Pharma Expo marks the first time that Romaco will showcase its high performance blister solution Noack 960 with a special anti-counterfeit technology from solutions provider NANO 4 U. The anti-counterfeit solution can be applied to any Romaco blister machine with a heatable coding tool. With this new technology the Romaco Noack 960 blister line offers unique primary packaging identification and an anti-counterfeit solution for blister packaging that is suitable for pharmaceutical products and meets the EU Falsified Medicine Directive 2011/62/EU. The new solution is based on a banknote authentication system to protect the primary packaging of pharmaceutical solids, and can be integrated into all blister machines equipped with coding stations. An individual hologram stamp gives a unique indication of originality in-line and without the use of additional materials. Individual blister packs are coded with overt and/or covert security features such as holograms with company logos or combinations of letters and digits that instantly identify blister packs as originals. Invisible codes that can be verified quickly and easily can also be incorporated into holograms. All that is needed for verification of a hidden logo or data matrix code is a simple laser pointer. The security features are applied using a heated coding tool, without affecting production speed. At Pharma EXPO, the Romaco Noack 960 Blister Line, which can produce up to 700 blisters per minute, will be showcased in line with a Romaco Promatic PC 4000 Continuous Motion Cartoner, part of a range of flexible, high-speed cartoners that deliver ergonomics and efficiency at speeds of up to 420 cartons per minute. page 2 of 6

3 Romaco Kilian KTP 720X Double-sided Rotary Press, featuring Cool-Fast- Clean Design The Romaco Kilian KTP 720X is a versatile, double-sided high speed pharma tableting machine designed to achieve maximum output with minimum wear. The tablet press, which can be optionally supplied with the patented CWC (Continuous in-line Weight Measurement) system, represents a new generation of double-sided rotary presses and is designed for manufacturing mono- and bilayer tablets. The Kilian KTP 720X features a special Cool-Fast-Clean design concept. The Cool is a special roller, bolt and bearing that reduces friction and therefore heat; the process area remains under 30 C. Fast alludes to quick changeover including, among other highlights, tool-free dismantling of all contact parts, a lower total number of contact parts to clean, and fast cleaning of the fill shoe due to non-integration of the gear box. Clean refers to the machine s complete separation of the process area, which is hermetically sealed to prevent product powder from entering the lower mechanical and maintenance compartments. The Kilian KTP 720X produces up to 1,020,000 tablets when using the 85 stations turret, and is also suitable for processing products with poorly flowing and temperature sensitive materials, such as Ibuprofen or Metformin. The brushless torque motor, extremely durable long-life compression rollers and wear-free lower punch brakes with patented magnets underlie the low total cost of ownership (TCO). The patented punch bellows protect the tablets from lubricants. The awarded mechanical design is complemented by state of the art Windows 7 based HMI, on a 21inch screen with smart phone like swipe technology.
