8 Implementation Status as per the Scatter Diagram Botswana has information which can & is used to integrate NCA into planning decisions However the information is collected by different actors, for different uses and by different data protocols There are a lot of initiatives which target Livelihoods improvement using Natural Capital The initiatives are also fragmented A lot of inventories and statistics; but not coordinated to yield resource inventories for NCA
9 Botswana Approach: National Roadmap a) Policy Reforms: to support NCA through green growth, SCP in public & private expenditure/ project appraisal multi-criteria analysis for NDP b) Development of national standards; for cleaner technology (solar geysers) for private sector eg. Eco-tourism standards c) Create Financial Incentives and Disincentives d) Build capacity on NCA; Institutional & Human
