October 2016 Importance of immigrant farmers to Australian agriculture report released. A report outlined demand for an artificial nose for odour measurement on chicken farms. December 2016 Local to Global: Provenance Branding and Farmer Co-operation for High Value Export Markets Local report released. Secured $1million across 19 AgVet chemical grants to provide solutions for pest and disease management issues.. January 2017 Relocation to Wagga Wagga completed six months ahead of schedule. Transformative Technologies fact sheets released.
4 February 2017 Commencement of nation-wide Regional Innovation Conversation series. Report released suggesting better pollination can increase gross value of production by $1 billion and 2,000 new jobs. March 2017 Close to 400 growers, researchers and industry representatives attend International Temperate Rice Conference to see rice R&D in action. April 2017 New Manuka plant breeding program announced. May 2017 National Rural Issues Forum held in Canberra. Horizon Scholarship recipients announced. June 2017 First Women in Rice event hosted by Rice Extension team. New advisory panel for Australian Thoroughbred industry announced. August 2017 Corporate name change and new look and feel announced September 2017 RWA Gala event at Parliament House where Tanya Dupagne from Kulin, WA was announced as winner.
