15 Descriptions of Fungi and Bacteria Descriptions of Fungi and Bacteria are a series of loose-leaf sheets issued in sets of 10, with four sets appearing each year. Each sheet provides a standardized statement of current knowledge about an individual species of fungus or bacterium, in an integrated format to assist identification or confirmation of identity of significant species. The statement, accompanied by an illustration, comprises: the organism's currently accepted scientific name and important synonyms (with full information about authors and place of publication); a formal description information about associated organisms and substrata information about how the current organism interacts with those associated organisms and substrata geographical distribution notes on economic impacts, infraspecific variation, dispersal and transmission an evaluation of the species' conservation status general notes together with references to key literature

16 Distribution Maps of Plant Diseases Distribution Maps of Plant Pests are the authoritative source on the worldwide distribution of plant pests of economic or quarantine importance. First published in 1951 and created in association with the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO), we have now published over 700Pest Maps. Expertly compiled and validated, and used by plant health organizations around the world, themaps provide an essential complement to expanding knowledge on plant pest distribution around the globe. - Available as a print/electronic package including online access to a fully searchable electronic backfile, in pdf format - The Maps are compiled from a large variety of scientific sources and validated twice by a team of species specialists at CABI, the Natural History Museum, London, EPPO and independent consultants - The Maps continue to be the most authoritative source of information available on the presence and extent of specific plant pests
