Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. Store secured in original closed containers in cool, dry and well ventilated place away from food, feed, seed, fertilizers and other agricultural chemicals. Re-entry interval: Do not enter the treated fields until after the spray deposit has dried unless wearing protective clothing. Withholding period: Allow 60 days between application of HP-Nico 75 and harvesting of maize. Always follow recommended dosage rate and recommended time of application to prevent damage to crop. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as abnormal soil, climate and storage conditions, quality of dilution water, compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the weeds against the remedy concerned as well as by the method, time and accuracy of the application. The registration holder further does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the user to follow the label instructions or to the occurrence of conditions which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier in event of any uncertainty. Precautions: Do not inhale spray mist or dust. Avoid skin contact and wash with soap and water after use and accidental contact. Wash contaminated clothing after use. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with clean lukewarm water for 20 minutes. Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing or applying this product or before washing hands and face or changing clothing. Prevent spray drift onto surrounding areas including other crops, grazing, dams, rivers or areas not under treatment. After use, thoroughly clean all application equipment from all traces of the product with clean water and dispose of empty containers in a safe and responsible way (see post sprayer procedures). Do not dispose of wash water where it can contaminate food, feed, crops, grazing, rivers, dams, eating utensils and drinking water. HP-NICO75/JULY2013 2

3 Resistance warning: HP-Nico 75 is a group code B herbicide. Any weed population may contain individuals naturally resistant to HP-Nico 75 and other group code B herbicides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds may not be controlled by HP-Nico 75 or any other group code B herbicide. To delay herbicide resistance: Avoid exclusive repeated use of herbicides from the same herbicide group code. Alternate or tank mix with products from different herbicide codes. Integrate control methods (chemical, cultural, biological) into weed control programs. For specific information on resistance management contact your local distributor. Direction for Use: use only as Directed Restrictions: Temporary yellowing or stunting of crops may occur after application of HP-Nico 75 where certain climatic conditions (lengthy wet, cold period) prevail soon after application. Not to be applied to crops under stress by weather conditions, drought, flooding, disease, insect damage or mineral element deficiencies (especially nitrogen). Do not spray product within 24 hours of a predicted cold front or if a cold front is present. Wait until day/night temperatures have returned to normal. Moisture content of the soil will have an influence on root uptake and residual effect on certain weeds. Dry upper soil or waterlogged soil conditions will have little or no residual effect and can cause some weed species to regrow. Low soil ph values will cause the product to break down more rapidly and soils with a ph above 6.5 or containing free lime will prevent the breakdown of the product. This can then lead to a longer residual effect and influence follow-up crops. Rain within an hour after spraying can result in the reducing of the efficacy on weeds. Product should not be used on crops which already show symptoms of soil borne diseases. Product must not be sprayed near fruit trees or other desirable crops or plants. Large soil clods and stone covered soils can cause inadequate spray coverage and penetration and influence weed control. Do not leave unused spray mixture overnight. Use overhead irrigation quality water for dilution of product. Re-cropping: The residual effect of HP-Nico 75 depends on the rate used, soil ph, organic matter content, time elapsed and climatic and weather conditions since the last application of the product. 4 Mixing and Application guidelines: HP-Nico 75 must be applied after emergence of both crop and weeds. Only prepare enough spray for immediate use. Compatibility: HP-Nico 75 must not be applied in combination with organophosphate insecticides (e.g. Triazophos, Monocrotophos) or within 14 days of such applications. HP-Nico 75 should also not be used after in-furrow applications of organophosphate granular insecticides (e.g. Terbufos and Phorate). These restrictions do not apply to Carbamate type insecticides. HP-Nico 75 is compatible with atrazine. Where HP-Nico 75 is used in conjunction with any other agricultural remedy, warnings, precautions and directions as indicated for that remedy must be adhered to. Premixing and mixing instructions: Pre-mixing Mix the required amount of product with a small amount of water until a smooth mixture with no remaining granules is obtained. Mixing Use clean water suitable for irrigation and half fill spray tank, add pre-mix to tank through a sieve. Whilst agitating continuously fill tank to the correct final level. For high volume, ground spraying, add the adjuvant (wetter/spreader/penetrant) at adjuvant label recommended (see adjuvant label) rate to spray mix and thoroughly mix. Keep mixture agitated at all times. Application guidelines: Ground application Apply HP-Nico 75 with medium or high volume spraying equipment with a agitation system that is in good working order and accurately calibrated to ensure even distribution and sufficient coverage. Apply by using tractor mounted boom sprayer which delivers at least 200 litres spray mix per hectare. Avoid over-application of product by closing the nozzle when moving slow, turning, stopping and refilling tank. Do not allow drift spray to contaminate adjacent crops. Post spray procedures People mixing and applying HP-Nico 75 must wash themselves after spraying. Wash clothes worn during spraying. Clean spray equipment thoroughly. The spray tank must be drained and with the pipes, boom and nozzles rinsed thoroughly with water. Refill tank with water, add 1 L of household ammonia per 100 L of water, rinse boom and hoses and leave for 1 hour whilst agitating. Drain through nozzle. Repeat this process then rinse with clean water to remove all traces of cleaner. The nozzles and filters must be cleaned separately with the ammonia solution. Any product contamination on outside of spray equipment should only be rinsed with clean water. Do not flush equipment or dispose of wash water near plants and trees or their roots or where runoff water will contaminate crops, grazing, boreholes, rivers or dams. Destroy empty product containers and never re-use for any other purpose. HP-NICO75/JULY2013 4

Product must be applied to weeds after emergence at recommended growth stages (see table 1). Do not use HP-Nico 75 in combination with organophosporous or furrow organo phosphorous insecticides. Late post-emergence application: Use as late post-emergence application only when maize is at the 7 10 leave stage. Do not spray directly onto maize but use drop arms still ensuring adequate coverage. Product must be applied to weeds after emergence at recommended growth stages (see table 1). Do not use HP-Nico 75 in combination with organophosporous or furrow organo phosphorous insecticides.
