The company was founded in Don Agro is one of the largest agricultural companies in the Rostov region. Don Agro has a total land bank of 53,2 th. ha, of which 42,5 th. ha are arable land. Don Agro has the largest number of cattle in the Rostov region (2000 milk cows) and is TOP-1 in terms of milk production (more than 11,3 th. tons). 7 Dairy Sector Highlights Russian agricultural sector is a very attractive investment opportunity due to huge local demand (population of 143 mln) and low price of arable land (about USD per hectare). There is a deficit of milk production (about 6 mln tons) in Russia, accompanied by increase in milk prices and strong demand for high quality milk. Government supports agricultural sector development by different types of subsidies and compensations. The deficit of milk in the Southern Federal District is 2.1 mln tons. 7
