21 What is UV-C? - UV light is transmitted at three different wavelengths - UV-C, also known as short wave or germicidal light, forms the basis of SurePure s patented technology platform - Multi-lamp design increases liquids exposure to UV-C - Enables greater efficiency and consistency in purification 20

22 How does UV disinfect? The UV wavelength(λ) most effective for killing microorganisms is at nm or 253 Angstrom(Å). Guanine Thymine Adenine Cysteine Wavelengths are absorbed by the cellular DNA of the microorganisms, causing thymine dimer (peptide bond) formation in the pathogens DNA molecules. Guanine Thymine Adenine Cysteine Dimer This renders the pathogen incapable of replicating. Bacteria, Yeasts, Moulds and Viruses are immobilized 21

23 FDA, EU Novel Food and OIV Approvals Expected Important regulatory approvals expected within months: FDA approval for Dairy SurePure presented to the NCIMS conference in April 2011 for approval as an adjunct to pasteurization, additional research work was requested. This has been completed and a GRAS application is being submitted. EU Novel food SurePure initiated the approval process, for use of the SurePure technology as an adjunct to pasteurization in 2010 in conjunction with Major UK Dairy. The dossier has been submitted to the EU novel food body. OIV SurePure technology has preen presented to the OIV Conference, a follow up presentation was made in March
