Project Explorer, Autocad integration and some of the parametric building components like doors, windows, etc. Design collaboration were shown by several simultaneous users over the Internet. 2. Demo2 This part showed how a constructor can benefit from the 4D simulation on schedule planning. Activities are attached to every building component. In demo those activites are exported to MS Project for fine tuning and brought back to the simulation. 4

5 Project Explorer All Building Components are defined in the free defined tree view Demo 1: Collaboration NM Communication Center Instant messaging with other team members and disciplines Change: Interior walls were deleted by other member in Oulu, while we were in Heureka, Vantaa, Finland. Demo 2: 4D Simulation 4D simulation of the building was shown. All related activities were exported to Microsoft Project Some corrections on the roof schedule were done in MS Project and imported back to schedule simulation. 5

6 What Happened in the Demo? Collaboration over the Internet on single building model. Walls were created/deleted in another part of Finland, while a third party started modifications in Sweden. Simultaneous instant messaging 4D demo of production planning showed and integrated in MS project Q&A Question: Can handle different versions of components? Yes. basic Object Database functions take care of versioning without any problem. Any changes on the components are saved with historical data. No need to save the whole model. Question: Is ADT integrated in? No, has it own interface to create components. However, ADT components can be imported to database.
