1 HOSPITALITY CASE STUDY Pinnacle CSG CLIENT: PINNACLE CSG CHALLENGE: With clients from the Fortune 500 list, Pinnacle CSG was looking for the next big step in online construction management. They were looking for the all-in-one solution that would eliminate the multiple systems they were using. In addition, Pinnacle wanted to cut costs and time spent trying to keep all team members in the loop. 2 Pinnacle CSG is an award-winning personalized commercial construction company based in Florida, where they facilitate about 20 projects per year. They have earned numerous awards in the construction industry both for their superior quality of work and forward-thinking approach to technology. Cory McFarlane, Pinnacle CSG s Chief Visionary found Procore when he was looking for the next big step in construction software. 3 A PAINLESS IMPLEMENTATION Having gone through multiple software solutions previously, Cory had prior experience implementing and training his team, and he was looking for something painless. He wanted to be able to bring in the owners and architects, groups that were traditionally slow to adopt new solutions. Cory explains One thing that people don t often think about when implementing a new software is training. The video training was stellar. I sat down over the weekend and got my Procore certification. Procore believes in quick time to value, which was equally important to Pinnacle CSG. We were able to contact Procore to make some slight modifications that would work best for us and the turnaround time was phenomenal. Training was rather smooth, easy, absolutely exceptional, and didn t cost any extra. 3

4 HOW DOES PROCORE COMPARE? EASE OF USE Procore designs with the end user in mind. With a wide range of experience levels in the industry, project management software has to be intuitive and easy to use. Ease of use helps adoption. Someone can figure out this software relatively easily but it s robust enough to have all the features incorporated. The outside users who were resistant to other software solutions, have found Procore extremely easy to use. SAVINGS Procore paid for itself within two months. Procore has not only proven to be a valuable replacement for the multiple software solutions that Pinnacle CSG was using previously, but the time savings were evident. 4

5 COST Pinnacle CSG was previously using four or five different tools to manage each aspect of a job, and all of that has been replaced with Procore s all-in-one solution. Before Procore, it was hard for our superintendents to get access to submittals or different pieces of software that we use. With Procore, if they want to see a commitment they can look at the committed cost right there on their iphone or ipad. EQUIPMENT Cory goes on to discuss the savings from each department: From an IT perspective, we no longer have to manage four or five internal servers that manage files, file sharing, FTP, etc. Maintenance doesn t have to be renewed, the utility bill will go down, and the IT guys can spend more time doing training. Cory expects that these savings will continue to appear as each user becomes more and more familiar with Procore. Pinnacle CSG plans to implement Procore into each and every future project and expects that the high adoption amongst team members will continue. 5

6 TIME Procore helped Pinnacle CSG reduce time spent on project management processes. For 10 contracts it used to take three days to execute all those, and that can be done in four hours now and that s from start to distribution, to entering it back into Procore. Submittal turnaround times have dropped by two to three days from subcontractors. Before we would send a link to upload a file, and now they just get a Procore . Then they can upload it and we re all notified. WRAP UP Procore helped Pinnacle CSG achieve a virtually paperless office. Eliminating multiple solutions, costly hardware, and duplicate data entry helped make Pinnacle CSG a more efficient company.
