1 third parties tools able to export/import data to/from Tableau Data Engine Dear business managers, As far as i know there are 4-5 applications developed by independent companies able to extract, process, analyze and save data in Tableau Data Engine format aka.tde If a Tableau's customer is looking for an ETL/ETA tool able to export data as.tde then check out the products from Tamas Foldi (Talend Exchange), Alteryx, Rapid Insight, TIQ Solutions GmbH, Theobald Software GmbH and Lavastorm plus MarkLogic & Adobe Analytics I did a short research today and my suggestion is to contact officially the following firms, establish a business relationship and incorporate Tableau technology in order to expand end users options and choices in the ETL field. Question from Tableau program manager:how many extracts do you have on your Tableau Server? I had this idea for Tableau board of directors - Open source.tde specs if you agree please vote up.
