London is home to 3 of the 5 comprehensive and 4 of the 6 specialist biomedical centres of the National Institute for Health Research; 17 of the MRC s units centres and institutes; and CRUK s London Research Institute. More biotechnology venture capital groups than the next 10 largest European cities.
