1 Announcement of Changes of Organizational Structure, Assignment for and Personnel Changes Hyogo, Japan January 31, 2018 TOYO TIRE & RUBBER CO., LTD. (President & CEO: Takashi Shimizu) announces the following changes to organizational structure, the assignment of and other Personnel Changes. 1. Organizational Structural Changes (Effective February 1, 2018) In January 2017, TOYO TIRE & RUBBER revised its organizational structure by operational function with the intention of reinforcing management through coordination among each Headquarter; production, sales, R&D and other corporate functions. On this occasion, TOYO TIRE & RUBBER carries out the following organizational changes to intend higher-quality business operations and strengthen the management foundation. <Details of Organizational Changes> [Corporate ] The Business Restructuring (change of name from Global Project Development Dept.) and the Compliance & Legal are relocated under this. The Brand Communications Dept. is relocated under the Corporate Planning. [Business ] (Newly established) Under this, the Business Strategy is newly established, and the Product Planning and Procurement are relocated. The Business Administration Dept. (change of name from Cost Management Dept.) is relocated under the Business Strategy. The SCM is eliminated, and under this the SCM Administration Dept. and the Logistics Dept. are relocated. The Global Marketing Dept. is newly established under the Product Planning. [, ] (Change of name from & Compliance ) Under this, the is relocated. [Fundamental Production Engineering ] (Change of name from Environment, Safety, Engineering ) Under this, the Global Supply Development is relocated. The Global Supply Planning Dept. is newly established under the Global Supply Development.

2 [R&D ] The Materials Development Dept. is re-established under R&D No.1, integrating the Tire Materials Development Dept. and the Rubber Material Development Dept. The Automotive Parts Production Technology Dept. and the Automotive Parts Testing Dept. are newly established under R&D No.2. The Polyurethane Products Development Dept. is eliminated. [Production ] Under this, the Domestic Production and the International Production are newly established, dissolving the Production. The Plant Administration Dept. is eliminated. [Sales ] The International Sales Dept. No.1 and the International Sales Dept. No. 2 are newly established under the International Sales, dissolving the International Sales Dept. The Global O.E. Sales Dept. is eliminated. [Americas Business Development ] (Change of name from North American Business Development ) The North American Business Development Dept. changes its name to Americas Business Development Dept. Now, TOYO TIRE & RUBBER takes a posture of responding to the recent Digital Revolution (AI/IoT) and various trends in the automobile industry (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Service, Electric) etc. by working through key projects across the company and in-house committees, in addition to all related divisions. 2.
