UIF Bolivia is currently responsible for developing the virtual platform Virtual Campus which will host all information sources (web links), organized in following the terms of reference of the project. 5
6 What is the Virtual Campus? It is a system developed in a web platform, allowing access to users via internet connection. The platform will : grant user access to the links sent by the countries, knowledge sharing through a collaborative forum; and grant access to the legal documents organized by country. Objective of the Virtual Campus To implement the project DEVELOPMENT OF OPEN SOURCES OF INFORMATION AS A TOOL FOR SUPPORTING MONEY LAUNDERING AND TERRORISM FINANCING INVESTIGATIONS. Through this virtual campus, open source information links provided by the countries will be published, incorporating security and knowledge sharing parameters. 6
7 Virtual Campus Development For the development of the Virtual Campus, key guidelines have been taken into consideration: Confidentiality Availability Integrity Friendly Bilingual Virtual Campus Components The virtual campus has three environments : Open Sources Access Environment Experience Exchange Environment (Collaborative Forum) Document Exchange Environment 7
8 Open Sources Access Environment Allow the members to have access to the links or web addresses provided by the, which may eventually assist them in processes related with money laundering and terrorism financing investigations. Open Sources Access Environment 8
9 Open Sources Access Environment Classification of categories Experience Exchange Environment (Collaborative Forum) The Experience Exchange Environment was designed under the concept of a forum. Two different environments have been considered: General: for the creation of topics where users can create, comment or answer about a topic. Specific: each country is able to make consultations to Country Coordinators. 9
