4 The Maintenance/EAM Trends Big Data is driving a need to transform heaps of data into information to improve business performance. Rise of smarter physical infrastructure (e.g. internet of assets/things) is causing businesses to invest in complex infrastructures that are increasingly interconnected. Procurement decisions being driven more by IT focus is on cost of infrastructure and TCO. Moving towards mobile workers, remote solutions and virtualization. Drive being exhibited for more predictive maintenance capability.
