Night setback determined to be programmed with the same dead band requirements of occupied schedule. This caused short cycling of HVAC equipment leading to premature equipment failure. Existing data sources did not identify problem. SOLUTION Building Data Analytics and Virtual Meters informed District to reprogram the BAS District wide in order to raise night setback set points and increase the dead band to eliminate short cycling RESULTS TBD - Smart analytics and fault detection artificial intelligence routines found this opportunity before system went live for the District
