Intergraph s Incident Management solution meets those demands and more. We provide call-center and communications center operators, as well as officers in the field, with the tools they need to answer all types of calls, create and update incident details, and manage multiple resources through real-time interaction of live incident data. For Web-based operators, we provide occasional or remote access to the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, so first responders and security personnel have secure access to live data and the ability to search for urgently needed information. Using these tools, along with historical and local search capabilities, operators have the right information available to make life-saving decisions when seconds count. 1

6 Smooth And Seamless Dispatch Operations For optimal results, an incident management solution must seamlessly integrate the capabilities operators need for a fast and intelligent response. Our software integrates voice and data and includes built-in radio and telecommunications interfaces for efficient messaging and data distribution. Our notifications and interoperability interfaces let police, fire, emergency, and security forces send notifications to a variety of recipients through different types of media. We also provide interfaces that enable the dispatch of fire and emergency medical services (EMS) resources. Our Application Suite Intergraph software protects more than half a billion of the world s population, serving 27 countries in 14 languages. Computer-Aided Dispatch Our CAD application enables a fast, wellorchestrated response that mitigates harm, helps maintain order, and ultimately reduces crime. We improve multi-agency coordination that simplifies cross-agency communications and enhances situational awareness with a common operating picture available to all authorized users. This intelligent mapping and data-entry system seamlessly integrates an interactive, real-time map display with call-handling, dispatching, records and information management, remote access, and mobile data. This ensures precise and exceptionally fast response, while conveniently generating a full incident record for downstream use. Our Web-based CAD application allows Internet users to dispatch resources to incidents, view unit status updates, clear units from incidents, and update incident type or location. It also lets operators retrieve dispatch information without having special CAD software installed on local computers, and gives users outside the control room an overview of the current operational status, including active incidents and available resources. For future planning, comprehensive historical searches help you better analyze resource usage. All of these capabilities add up to reduced cost of service delivery, enhanced performance, and more effective public safety response for the people you serve. Mobile Dispatch for Public Safety This extension of CAD makes incident, mapping, and location data available in the field, improving officers productivity and safety, enabling background checks at the scene, updating officer location and availability status, and reducing the amount of radio traffic in the control center. From a mobile unit, officers can receive and acknowledge dispatch messages, view incident details and information, such as the incident history for a property, and access informational databases. For officers on foot, our mobile software for handheld mobile devices gives you a browser-based application with access to the latest incident information, database search capability, and the ability to receive and send text messages. Our Mobile Dispatch for Public Safety application extends the power of command-and-control to all field officers, improving your overall response and increasing public confidence. 4

7 Communications Interfaces Effective communication is essential to fast response. Our communication interfaces allow seamless integration of radio, digital radio, and telephone communications with CAD to reduce operator error and enhance operator performance. For verification and reporting, an audit trail automatically records call information and associated data. You can even integrate our communications interfaces with external applications, such as the personnel database, to route calls to operators with special skills, such as spoken languages. Plus, our small footprint frees up space on already crowded desktops. Notifications and Interoperability Public safety agencies must send messages and notifications to a variety of recipients through different types of media. Our notifications and interoperability interfaces support pagers, , and telephone devices for the deaf (TDD), radio identifications, and unit and event information for other software applications. Open industry standards, such as XML protocols, support the exchange of CAD data to thirdparty applications and CAD systems to fulfill mutual aid requests. Intergraph s Application Interoperability supports enterprise integration, information-sharing, and the implementation of customer-specific, service-side business rules by interfacing CAD with Microsoft BizTalk Server. This integration framework includes services for connecting CAD messages to/from external systems, an orchestration engine to apply business rules and transform messages in/out of CAD, and the ability to invoke CAD commands via other application products. Louisville Jefferson County Metro, Kentucky, USA In 2003, the City of Louisville, Kentucky, and Jefferson County were merged into one, becoming Louisville Jefferson County Metro, one of America s most populous cities. Given the urgent need to develop interoperability for the Metro s first responders, Mayor Jerry Abramson initiated MetroSafe, a unified communications system for all emergency response agencies, including police, fire, EMS, Health <PS: Department, hospitals, BLACKBAR and others. After merging four of its dispatch centers in CALLOUT 2005, MetroSafe opened a state-of-the-art HEADER> consolidated communications center to handle dispatch for Louisville Metro Police, Louisville Fire & Rescue, and Metro EMS. <PS: BLACK BAR BODY HEADER 2> To meet its expanding needs, MetroSafe <PS: selected Black Intergraph s Bar Body Copy> solution based on its capabilities and the company s excellent track record with large implementations. The solution successfully handles all calls for MetroSafe. With this investment, we re putting the one in 9-1-1, Abramson said. 8 Toronto Police Service, Toronto, Ontario, CanaDA Toronto, the largest city in Canada, has a population of more than 2.5 million and is Canada s economic capital. It is wellknown for its cosmopolitan and international flavor, as well as its low crime rates, clean environment, and generally high standard of living. The Toronto Police Service, known in the Canadian police community for its visionary efforts, is a long-time Intergraph customer. After a standard procurement process in 1991, Toronto Police selected Intergraph, largely due to its map-based and graphical interface, which was unique at the time. It implemented its first Intergraph CAD system in 1994, migrating from a homegrown system. Public Safety Fire Interfaces We have extended our CAD system with interfaces to third-party solutions that support the special needs of fire response management. Our interfaces support fire station alerting and printing, paging, fire records management, and fire/ems resource optimization tools from leading solution providers, such as Deccan, ZOLL Data Systems, Firehouse, and Zetron. These interfaces provide fire and EMS personnel with the tools they need to quickly respond to fires and other major incidents. For optimal response, our public safety fire interfaces are fully integrated with CAD to ensure quicker resolution to incidents. CAD automatically transfers relevant information, so field officers don t spend time entering base incident data. This keeps the focus on operational continuity so staff can better service incidents. It also ensures accurate reporting to support justification for funding and staffing, and maintaining current records for statistics and payroll. The LiveMUM interface supports the ability to use real-time incident and unit data to dynamically redeploy fire and EMS resources to match operational coverage requirements. Intergraph and the Toronto Police Service worked closely through the challenges of the early years to build a strong relationship and stronger product. The organization added other Intergraph applications, such as Web-based CAD. It also replaced its legacy CAD mobile system with Intergraph s mobile dispatch with automatic vehicle location (AVL) and real-time, in-car mapping and navigation. Toronto Police Service continues to evolve its emergency response systems with Intergraph s maintenance, support, and state-of-the-art technology. 6
