2 Drivers for the AP Cloud Survey Key ques:ons come to mind: How many companies are s/ll using a paper- based system to process invoices? What level of automa/on are companies interested in implemen/ng? Do they want the full package or only some automa/on pieces? How familiar are finance professionals with AP cloud- based solu/ons? Are financial professionals willing to consider cloud op/ons for AP automa/on?

Presented to several thousand AP professionals Total of 115 respondents took part in the survey Approximately 20 ques/ons Some could be answered with a single click Others required respondents to retrieve data Respondents given several weeks to take the survey

Manufacturing (32%) Banking/Financial Services (15%) Healthcare (13%) Educa/on (12%) Retail/Government (9%) Other Industries e.g., Insurance, Electronics, Transporta/on, Aerospace, Oil/ Petrochemical, etc. (each less than 5%)

6 Key Findings How paper- based is the invoicing process? What percentage of your invoice volume is paper- based? More than 1 in 3 respondents said that over 90% of their invoice volume is paper- based More than 2 in 3 respondents said that over 50% of their invoice volume is paper- based

7 Key Findings How many invoices are being processed monthly? How many invoices do you process a month? Nearly 1 in 3 of the respondent companies process more than 10,000 invoices per month This means on average, the AP departments are processing 333 invoices daily

21 Conclusion Paper- based invoice processing is s/ll widely used Although a full AP automa/on package may look good it can be an enormous project to take on, and is OK to implement a solu/on in phases Many finance professionals are not familiar with SaaS solu/ons for AP automa/on Willingness to evaluate SaaS packages has grown Cloud- based AP automa/on provides clear cost and usability advantages from which companies of all sizes can benefit
