2 Activity Activity Center Actual Hours Administrator Assignee Calendar Child Activity Critical Path Custom Field Custom Form An action or collection of actions done in order to bring a project closer to completion. In Easy Projects an activity is either a Task, Request, or Issue The hub of Easy Projects. This single page lets you manage, review, create, and update all of your Projects and Activities The number of hours it takes to perform an Activity, as logged in by Assignees Easy projects Role that has unlimited access to all features and settings A team member or stakeholder selected to perform an Activity Section where you can manage vacations and leaves of users An Activity that is a component of a larger activity. Can have child activities of its own The sequence of Activities that add up to the longest overall project duration. This determines the shortest possible amount of time it takes to complete the Project. Any delay on the critical path directly impacts the project completion date. Easy Projects automatically calculates a project s critical path A user-created field used to collect and track information not already found on the Easy Projects database A page created using Custom Fields. Often used for submitting requests or collecting additional project information 2

3 Customer Organization or individual that will benefit from the Project Dashboard Dependency A page where you can quickly review Project information such as Project Health, pending Activities, and Resource Loading. Information is displayed using widgets that can be selected, rearranged, and resized according to personal preference Relationship between two Activities, such that the status of one activity affects the status Earned Value Analysis (EVA) Filter Gantt Chart Guest Issue Milestone A technique used to measure Project Health. The formulas are computed using Actual Hours, Estimated Hours, the project s budget, costs, and timeline Defined search criteria that helps you find specific information. The Activity Center can run multiple filters An interactive chart that illustrates a Project schedule and status. It displays critical elements such as Activities, Dependencies, and progress A user given limited guest access to the team s Easy Projects system. The guest is not a part of the core project team, but is still partially involved in the Project A type of Activity. A potential problem or concern submitted by a Stakeholder that needs the team s attention A significant stage or event used to help track Project progress 3

Level of urgency for a Project or Activity. Priority levels can be customized within Easy Projects A collaborative, planned endeavor that aims to accomplish a defined objective within a limited amount of time. A project is usually broken down into steps called Activities and Sub-Activities This page offers a quick, high-level overview of the timeline, Milestones, and Project Health Color indicator that shows risk of a Project or Activity missing a deadline. Color thresholds can be customized A type of Activity that is not in the original list of activities defined by the project manager. Usually submitted by stakeholders. 4

5 Resource Loading Report that indications how much hourly work is allocated to a specific team member Role Stakeholder Sub-task Task Template Time Logs View Widget User level with access to a specific combination of features and settings, as defined by the administrator Person involved with or affected by the Project. May or may not be involved in actual production A Task that falls within the scope of an other task in Activity View or the Gantt Chart. Also known as a Child Activity A type of Activity. An action or collection of actions done by a team member within a certain time frame that brings a Project closer to completion A pre-built Project already set up with the necessary Activities, Child Activities, Assignees, and Dependencies. Acts as a framework for new projects Page where users can log hours done for an Activity, as well as view the history of hours logged A customized method of displaying your Projects and Activities in the Activity Center Dashboard elements that each display a particular type of information, such as Project 5
