Formwork: Formwork shall support vertical and lateral loads that are applied until such loads can be supported by concrete structure. Formwork shall be readily removable without impact, shock or damage to cast-in-place concrete surfaces and adjacent materials. onstruct forms to sizes, shapes, lines and dimensions shown. Perform surveys to obtain accurate alignment. Provide for recesses, chamfers, blocking, anchorages, inserts, and other features required in work. Only water shall be mixed into the mortar unless specifically stipulated otherwise in the Manufacturer's written instructions. 3.3 PPLITION - FOLLOW MNUFTURER'S REOMMENDTIONS. pply mortar to prepared patch area and consolidate by tamping or by trowel pressure.. Multiple layers may be necessary. Layer thickness shall be in accordance with Manufacturer's written instructions.. Trowel smooth and shape to match existing adjoining surface. 3. URING - FOLLOW MNUFTURER'S REOMMENDTIONS. Immediately after final finish, spray the repaired area with liquid, membrane-forming curing compound.. Extend coverage curing compound outside the perimeter the patch a distance not less than the thickness the patch. 3.5 LEN-UP. lean the work area so that it is left at least as clean as when the repair work began. Secure embedded items such that they are not displaced during placement concrete. 3.5 JOINTS. onstruction Joints: Locate and install construction joints, which are not shown on drawings, so as not to impair strength and appearance the structure. Place construction joints perpendicular to the main reinforcement. ontinue reinforcement across construction joints unless noted otherwise.. Preformed onstruction Joint For Slabs on Grade: Secure with galvanized steel stakes, /8 inch thick by -/8 inches wide with ½ inch deep rib and tapered point. Splice adjoining joints with 2 gage steel, galvanized splice plates. 3.6 REMOVL OF FORMWORK. General: Prevent excessive deflection, distortion, and damage to concrete when forms are stripped. Provide crush plates or wrecking plates where stripping may damage cast concrete surfaces.. Formwork and supports at sides concrete shall remain in place for 2 hours after concrete placement. This period represents cumulative number hours, not necessarily consecutive, during which the temperature the air surrounding the concrete is above 50 degrees F.
