25 FHWA 23 Metrics 2013 Audit 13 of 23 Metrics determined to be fully compliant Plans of Corrective action required for: METRIC 6 Inspection Frequency, Routine, LOW Risk METRIC 7 Inspection Frequency, Routine, HIGH Risk METRIC 10 Inspection Frequency, Fracture Critical METRIC 11 Inspection Frequency Frequency Criteria METRIC 13 Inspection Procedures, Load Rating METRIC 14 Inspection Procedures, Post or Restrict METRIC 15 Inspection Procedures, Bridge Files METRIC 16 Inspection Procedures, Fracture Critical Members METRIC 20 Inspection Procedures, QC/QA METRIC 21 Inspection Procedures, Critical Findings
26 FHWA 23 Metrics 2013 Audit METRICs 6, 7, 10, and 11 MDOT will develop and implement a statewide policy to require all inspection reports to be entered into to the bridge management database within thirty (30) days of completing the field portion of the inspection for all types of inspections. This will allow MDOT to start the process of verifying timeliness earlier and as a result reduce the number of inspection that are more than (1) month late and eliminate inspections that are more than (4) months late. This policy exceeds FHWA s regulation 23 CFR (b) of 90/180 days to update the condition ratings.
27 FHWA 23 Metrics 2013 Audit METRICs 13, 14 and 15 Currently part of the Load Rating corrective action plan. Metrics 16, 20 and 21 PCA involves development and implementation of Michigan Bridge Inspection Reference Manual, which MDOT Bridge Field Services is in the process of creating. Draft sections are complete pending reviews from Region Bridge Engineers. Local agency will also be engaged in reviews.
28 Accelerated Bridge Construction Workshop Workshop held December 9 th, participants (MDOT, local agencies, consultants, industry) Presentations from contractors, consultants, states (Utah) and ABC experts Focus on specialized work such as structural moves and prefabricated elements Future workshops will be coordinated.
