2 I N S U L AT E D P A N E L S MF Series Kingspan MF insulated panels are made from a noncombustible mineral wool core bonded with metal facings. This combined with the tongue and groove joint design offers the ultimate combination for a Fire Resisting Wall Assembly, non-combustible and acoustic construction. Unique to the market, Kingspan exclusively manufactures mineral fiber panels that can be applied both vertically and horizontally and with a concealed fastening system. This tested and approved mineral fiber panel achieves a fire rating of 1, 2 and 3 hours. Should a fire occur, Kingspan MF panels resist the spread of flames, reducing the potential for loss. Suitable for interior and exterior, architectural and industrial applications including warehouses, manufacturing plants, service and utility buildings. 9 What is an Insulated Metal Panel (IMP)? A Fire Resistant Insulated Metal Panel is a lightweight modular building material which forms the entire building envelope; thermal insulation, vapor barrier, weatherproofing and finish. Kingspan s MF IMP consists of metal facings bonded to a structural mineral wool core. These panels are designed to resist high temperatures and withstand fire. Superior Airtightness and Weathertightness One of the biggest sources of building heat loss (or heat gain) is air leakage. Kingspan panels are rigorously tested to ensure that they remain both airtight and weathertight over the life of a building. High R-value Kingspan s MF Panels have insulated cores that provide superior thermal performance with tested R-values of up to 3.6 per inch. Most importantly, the insulation is on the exterior of the building structure to provide the best possible thermal envelope by reducing thermal bridging typical of cavity wall systems. In addition, the panels feature excellent insulation core to core contact, which provides a continuous thermal shield against heat transfer. Quality Assurance and Quality Control We know the importance of QA/QC and as a result we have MSDS sheets, fabrication, shop inspection, test plans, and mill certificates available upon request with panel orders. Having supplied large projects in the past, we understand and adhere to the requirements. Procurement Project durations on large industrial jobs are substantial and thus can make the procurement cycle more complex. At Kingspan we have worked in partnership with EPC procurement teams successfully to deliver solutions to the problems caused by long project duration. Goal of an EPD An EPD s goal is transparency. You know what materials are in the produce you chose and its environmental impact. UL Certified To add credibility to our findings, we engaged UL Environment to verify the results of our EPD. UL has been impartially assessing products since 1894 for safety and viability and has conducted numerous environmental evaluations. UL certified EPDs are based on ISO compliant standards.
