1 THE CONCEPT OF "DIRECT DEMOCRACY IN LATVIA" THE NEED FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT The ideal state system - a system that fully satisfy the interests of everyone. In the present system of representative democracy in Latvia is irrelevant to such an assertion. In reality, elected representatives are not fighting for the interests of the people, but for their own interests. Their participation in politics - is to create a political career, which are not guided by the ideals and benefits of commitment to a particular ideal. Elected representatives of the people are sort of an intermediary role between our opinion and public servants. For one person it is impossible to take into account the views of tens of thousands of people, so the decisions are the result of subjective evaluation of the circumstances of one person and not fully correspond to the real opinion of most people. This game «voiceless phone» effect on confidence in the people's representatives and the credibility of the state apparatus as a whole. Thus and so, this aim of creating the project «Direct Democracy in Latvia» is the most complete reflection of the views of all indifferent to the fate of the state of people for political decisions, which plays an important role in the fate of our country. The second objective of the project we see a demonstration of direct democracy opportunities for follow-up as a national project to reform the state structure.
